I am glad he was able to tell the FL how he felt too and saw the sort of person Hae Mi was, such a hater! I wish the ML found out at the library whose daughter he met. He had a nice conversation with her. It would have messed up the plan of the hater who planned for the the little girl to attend the event to show Young Yi has a child. I don't think the hater realize the more nasty things she does towards Young Yi, the more the ML would start disliking her. I am so looking forward to the ML meeting the little girl again at the event because they already met. So, the shame will be hers not YY's.

Sometimes people forget about the consequences of their actions when they have nothing else to lose. The fifth prince have lost his title, his house, his privileged lifestyle and living, and his father used him as a scape goat to appease outside. So, what more is there for him to lose? Thankfully his wife cares for him so she is not divorcing him as it is expected of her since he's now a civilian. Can I ask you a question, if you were in her shoes, and a stupid son of gun comes into your house and insult you and your husband, will you let him get away with it? I can tell you one thing, I am a very quiet person in terms of respecting others and not getting involve in things. But, if you mess me, I will make you wish you were never born. My quiet nature does not mean I tolerate BS. That's why I'm not upset with what the princess did.

Where some countries take care of the basic healthcare of their people, others don't. That's why we need to pray for leaders that care about their people and commend people who volunteer or go out of their way to create better life for others.

Why are you blaming the wives? Do you for a minute consider the actions of the irresponsible, senseless, stupid, and unreliable father the princes have? He considers the 5th prince useless, if he is a good, kindhearted and compassionate father, would his son be useless? Fingers are not equal, so the prince might not be as talented and smart as the 6th prince, but what he possesses as a human being, his useless father not have and will never have.
Now about the ladies, remember they came from regions where women as seen as equals, respected for their contributions to society, and not kept as trophy wives. They are not spineless and brainless as the society in husbands' region want them to be. I am not upset with the 5th prince's wife for hitting the spineless, useless, good-for-nothing 10th prince. Regardless of who he is, he has no right as a little brother to come to his older brother's house to insult him and his wife. I would have done worse to him, if I someone who have the nerve to come to my house to insult me. It goes back to the relationship the so-call useless father have with his sons. If you breed love and harmony as a parent, that's what will grow in your family. A classic example is the family of the 6th prince. At first we thought the legal wife was coming in to turn the house upside down, but after impacting the knowledge she has to both husband and the concubine, she gave them wings to fly. Li Wei is now a better wife at managing the family and the shop. Their family became the most harmonious of all the royal families.

Some of these dramas intentionally or unintentionally reveals the ills of society. In society where healthcare is not free and people have to pay exorbitant amount they do not have for care, then their is something terribly wrong with that system. The country in question is not a poor country to say the least, so why are they not taking care of their people. I have one more request to add to my grown Christmas list :) (my favorite 2021 Christmas carol)

Traditionally, I think in Asia, China is more advance in terms of architecture, literature, and other things. I am Nigerian by birth and we have traditional dramas that depict different eras. I also read several books in high school and saw the drama on stage and on TV that provided better understanding of the dramas and how things used to be in the old days. Perhaps that's why I appreciate other cultures so much now because when you appreciate yourself, you will be able to love other people around you :)

It doesn't matter where we are born or where life or fate have move us to. The most important is how are we using all the resources/opportunities this era provides to our best advantage. Now, even though we have never been to China, we know it is a beautiful country, very modern with lots of beautiful skyscrapers in most big cities. Some of their cities have a lot of European influences in their architecture. They love their traditions and their food is breathtaking. As humans, we need to appreciate each other for there to be peace in the world. When we understand each others cultural differences we will find out we are not so different after all.

It's good to know I have a historical drama soulmate out there :)

This is the first drama that I would see that the legal wife, concubine, and husband have a very beautiful relationship from the very beginning. The princess knew the prince was very much in love with his concubine, she acknowledged it and wanted to help the concubine be a proper legal wife before she divorces the prince because she doesn't want to be married, but she knew as a princess, her father will use her as a business deal and once she fulfill her obligation to her dad, she wants to start her own business. That, my friend is an outstanding behavior.

When they say "get out of town", the outfits for the casts is totally outstanding! That's why I love costume dramas so much. Because I get to see beautiful outfits, the aesthetic of each building used, the market place, hair accessories, and other little things. Sometimes I wonder if I was born in the wrong era.
I just finished ep25&26 and I would proudly tell you my bestie and I watching it screamed so much. Thankfully, we live in a big house that could contain our noise or else, neighbors would have call 911 for us :)

I understand your frustration about the drama. It seems all the older women are given more power than the men. However, all the women who yields the power are terrible human beings. Young Yi's character is weak in this drama because she's a widow without her own family for support. If she has parents or her grandmother, she might not be in that situation. So far, only the grandma and her father-in-law cares about her. YY's mother-in-law is a terrible person. She only cares about her own children and have treats YY from the beginning with contempt. She doesn't hide how she feels about her and she's not ashamed about it. Imagine the poor girl worked for 3 years and saved all her money, the money is loaned to her son and he stupidly lost it, she could not even apologize to the poor girl on her son's behalf instead, she told YY not to let the grandma know about it. Jang Kyung's stepmother is the worst of them all. She feels everyone is below her, very condescending , even though she's a nobody before she married her husband. Thankfully, the grandpa is in that household. If not, JK's life would be in danger. She also did something terrible that her son knew and its been affecting his mental health, yet she calls him weak. So, my friend, lets continue to watch it for all the good people in the drama and see what would happen to the bad ones :)

What in hell is going on and why should the next ep. be scheduled for Dec. 19th. They took a whole month off, for what? Forgive me for say this. This is why I like C-Dramas better in terms of making dramas readily available once it airs and only what viewers have to wait for is it to be translated to different languages. This is too painful, to say the least!
