To hell with this kind of love. The ML is a wicked son of a gun! Even when he was with his ex-fiancée, he knew the FL had a crush on him and she is a lot younger than him. So, he should know better. He should have turned her away and discouraged her when she was paying too much attention to him because he knows he has nothing whatsoever to offer her. Instead he proposed to her and made her miserable all through the stupid marriage. The most painful thing he did was trashing the food she prepared for him instead of giving it to others to eat. I don't think your personal opinion was excessive. I was cheated on multiple times but did not lose my cool by going crazy. I did everything possible, and when the time was right, I used his work to kick him out of the relationship. Why waste so much energy on scumbags that don't deserve it. I don't need anything from anyone to make me what I'm supposed to be. I've achieved what I could never dream of accomplishing when we were together. So, my take is when your partner in a love relationship hurts you badly. It means you were never meant to be together in the first place.
