I wanted them to be together, and they were gravitating towards one another, and the fact that she met her match. But, going by the genre which was clearly stated, I was pleasantly surprise when "your ladyship" became "Peiyi".

Apparently its more than a mystery thriller. I didn't see that kiss coming. That was a "WOW' moment. Who would have thought the stubborn, not afraid of death, revenge-seeking Peiyi would fall in love with the nerd deputy director?

It's a shame there isn't any romance in their future. I'd have loved to see how they fell for each other after she remembered her past. They kept showing a scene with him leading her away as a child. I can't wait to know what really happened then.

My thought exactly. How depressed can one be to create such a sad story? Even fate is not that cruel to destiny two unfortunate souls together. As if the guy doesn't have enough on his plate already, he had to deal with a friend that will forget his existence in her life everyday. This is just pathetic.
One of the comments below mentioned a Japanese version. I watch that one first.

I quite agree with you on why the tragedy was introduced. How many members of one's family must die for there to be a happy ending? I think it's a common plot in K-dramas, which might not be okay for some viewers. In my case, I've dropped a lot of drama at the last minute for that. In this drama, for instance, why did the grandma have to die? In my opinion, killing the grandma off was totally unnecessary.

I really liked this drama. It's short and sweet. The ending was confusing. It seemed to indicate that Wanwan was dreaming. However, the old chief left her seven years ago and didn't return, and the old chief's face was never revealed when he was with her as a child. That was the confusing part for me.

How does it end just like that!?

Why weren't the couple given a second chance to be together after being allowed to get to know each other better and appreciate one another? So, what is the essence of forever May 20th loop?

My thoughts exactly. I have been expecting something to happen to Chu Yu so that she can be reincarnated, but nothing has happened. Perhaps, we are too inpatient. Maybe, we need to wait a little bit longer.

We're just speculating. I'm thinking its the Duke. Based on episode 7, he might be the one that sold the design of the equiment to make their kingdoom lose the war, just like he did when Chu Yu's dad died with the same weapon his own people designed and the Duke is the one that has been lobbing for peace with that kingdom. So, how did they foreign kingdom get their hands on the secret design if it's not an insider/spy within the ranks?
