If only he hadn't gone to ask for his death. Look at the catastrophe he's causing now. That's why holding a grudge for 30 frecking years isn't worth it. Even a five-year-old knows better. The irony of it, they tell you to listen to your elders, are these the elders we are supposed to learn from? I don't think so. Dumb ass elders, if you ask me.

Who in his right mind goes back to back to continue a duel of thirty years ago? Don't these old people have better things to do with the rest of their lives?

I've watched the first six episodes, and they were very good.
Since female generals are trending these days, this drama is worth watching.

Ep. 22. Misery has company with the brothers-in-law. Who would have thought the almighty Haoming would condescend himself to this level for the woman he vowed never to love.

In my opinion, even though she lied to be accepted by his mom and she schemed to belong to that circle, she's always shackled by her lies. The guilt of it overwhelms her happiness with Haoming. If you recall, she told her grandma about her upcoming wedding, but let her attend the wedding. Remember, this is the most important person in her life. She wept bitterly for that. Also, whenever Haoming gives her a gift, it torments her and reminds her of what she has done.

Moreover, she tried to confess several times, but Haoming wouldn't hear of anything that wouldn't make him happy. So, even though they are both guilty of the same offence, she's very remorseful of what she did and tried to put an end to it, but Haoming doesn't even acknowledge that he wronged her by keeping the identity of his love child from her. Isn't that a double standard? If Haoming's mother could accept XY for who she was, rather than for her family background, would she have gone to such lengths to please her? Besides, Haoming only wants a trophy wife, and all his affections towards her from the very beginning were fake. All along, she knew she lied, and instead of calling her out on it, he used her lies to keep her by his side. He didn't have to marry her when he already knew of her real parents. Doesn't that make him a despicable person, or is he a morally upright person for keeping her secret and allowing her to marry him?

Because she sincerely loved them.

I hot she gets her karma soon.

We all know she's a much better person than him. She wouldn't stoop so low and condescend to his level. Moreover, she loved the little boy. You saw the album she made with the kid. Even without knowing his true identity, she loved him and wanted the best for him.

HM probably thought XY would ignore FL since it was a public place. However, when XY came forward to slap FL, she just wanted to let FL know that it's not over until she says it's over.

Remember, her boss called her because he said they received an anonymous tip about her background. But, what has that got to do with her job? Also, because they had heard the rumor that she was divorcing her husband, they were already planning to offer her a new position as a host to her competitor, thinking that once she was divorced, they would lose her husband's sponsorship. She also didn't know he was involve in work so deeply before this and Haoming was threating her with her job. So she had to resign gracefully rather than being go or demoted.

If you can recall, he said she wanted to marry him for his resources and connections, but when she told him she was leaving with nothing, he didn't believe it.

I'm glad his dad overheard the conversation and didn't vote for him based on that. Also, sending him to the remote office with nothing was the best thing his dad ever did for him.

That's why they say, "Never say never". He thought he could control himself from falling in love with XY because he considered her a fraud. However, she's already integrated into his subconscious. Moreover, she's a better person than he would ever be. XY has a genuinely kind soul and loves from the heart.

I felt so sad seeing XY go through these when she worked so hard to been a host previously.

That is the most painful part. He's not a decent human being in my book. Before he invited her for the first meeting for the interview, he already knew a lot about her. He called her a fraud for her him for his resources and his connections. But all along, he knew she was not being honest about her family. But he needed a liar to cover up his big secret. So, who is the fraud between them? The one that lied to cover up her family situation or the one with a bigger secret that knew about the cover-up and yet married the liar to use her as a tool for his career?

You're right. Perhaps he didn't want to watch it alone; that's why he invited her.
Maybe he lost control of not wanting to feel anything for her at some point. How can he show so much care and attention to her and then turn around to say it was all a lie? That would drive any woman crazy. It's like having someone comfortably seated and then yanking the seat from under them. No matter how strong the person is, especially a woman, it would shake them to their very foundation.

Remember the statement she made at the hospital regarding his brother/son, "A happy childhood can heal you for a lifetime, but an unhappy childhood takes a lifetime to heal". When she said that, she was actually referring to her own childhood experience. So, for someone who has experienced such bitterness early in life and then in her first relationship, which she thought would compensate for that love deficit, it turns out to be much worse.

He made up his mind never to love her long before they were married. I'm totally baffled how he could play such a loving and affectionate spouse and then turn 360 into a controlling, self-centered, son of a gun once she knew his secret. Since he doesn't need to pretend anymore, he's showing his true colors?

Since he has deemed her someone he can never love, he's blind to seeing anything good in her.
