We all know she's a much better person than him. She wouldn't stoop so low and condescend to his level. Moreover, she loved the little boy. You saw the album she made with the kid. Even without knowing his true identity, she loved him and wanted the best for him.

HM probably thought XY would ignore FL since it was a public place. However, when XY came forward to slap FL, she just wanted to let FL know that it's not over until she says it's over.

Remember, her boss called her because he said they received an anonymous tip about her background. But, what has that got to do with her job? Also, because they had heard the rumor that she was divorcing her husband, they were already planning to offer her a new position as a host to her competitor, thinking that once she was divorced, they would lose her husband's sponsorship. She also didn't know he was involve in work so deeply before this and Haoming was threating her with her job. So she had to resign gracefully rather than being go or demoted.

If you can recall, he said she wanted to marry him for his resources and connections, but when she told him she was leaving with nothing, he didn't believe it.

I'm glad his dad overheard the conversation and didn't vote for him based on that. Also, sending him to the remote office with nothing was the best thing his dad ever did for him.

That's why they say, "Never say never". He thought he could control himself from falling in love with XY because he considered her a fraud. However, she's already integrated into his subconscious. Moreover, she's a better person than he would ever be. XY has a genuinely kind soul and loves from the heart.

I felt so sad seeing XY go through these when she worked so hard to been a host previously.

That is the most painful part. He's not a decent human being in my book. Before he invited her for the first meeting for the interview, he already knew a lot about her. He called her a fraud for her him for his resources and his connections. But all along, he knew she was not being honest about her family. But he needed a liar to cover up his big secret. So, who is the fraud between them? The one that lied to cover up her family situation or the one with a bigger secret that knew about the cover-up and yet married the liar to use her as a tool for his career?

You're right. Perhaps he didn't want to watch it alone; that's why he invited her.
Maybe he lost control of not wanting to feel anything for her at some point. How can he show so much care and attention to her and then turn around to say it was all a lie? That would drive any woman crazy. It's like having someone comfortably seated and then yanking the seat from under them. No matter how strong the person is, especially a woman, it would shake them to their very foundation.

Remember the statement she made at the hospital regarding his brother/son, "A happy childhood can heal you for a lifetime, but an unhappy childhood takes a lifetime to heal". When she said that, she was actually referring to her own childhood experience. So, for someone who has experienced such bitterness early in life and then in her first relationship, which she thought would compensate for that love deficit, it turns out to be much worse.

He made up his mind never to love her long before they were married. I'm totally baffled how he could play such a loving and affectionate spouse and then turn 360 into a controlling, self-centered, son of a gun once she knew his secret. Since he doesn't need to pretend anymore, he's showing his true colors?

Since he has deemed her someone he can never love, he's blind to seeing anything good in her.

They didn't really tell us much about the baby mama and how she died.

That's why he wanted a trophy wife, and he met the perfect candidate in her. That's why I wasn't convinced of all his love and affection towards her from the beginning. Oh, how she felt guilt for lying to him, not knowing he was the president of deceit. It is unfortunate that the love and affection XY thought she was going to use to compensate for her childhoood's traumatic experience drove a more painful knife into her heart.

The scandal of the illegitimate child. The perfect son with the skeleton in the closet who wants an ideal wife who wouldn't rock the boat. I sincerely wish XY didn't love him so much. XY even condescended to make amends and ask that they start all over. But see the way he treated her. Like someone said in one of the comments, Haoming only wanted a trophy wife who he could use to support his career, without any romantic entanglement.

I think he knew she truly loved him, despite the lies about her parents. However, he's using it against her. He could see that she genuinely cared for his family and did everything she could to help him. She didn't even tell him about caring for his investor's mother-in-law. Now, he's using her career to keep her grounded. She's going to deal with his sorry ass in a demeaning way, I know that for sure.

That's painfully demeaning.
