This actually comforted me a bit. In their "first life," nothing they had was truly theirs, not their faces, their belongings, or even their memories. But in this life, they finally get to live for themselves. Even if their lifespan is just a drop of water in time, I guess it’s enough. They are each other's fated one; I’m sure they’ll find each other in every life. 😭

I actually read the spoilers from fans beforehand and thought, "Oh wow, that’s a good enough ending for them, at least they’re together." I thought I was ready for it, but now that I’m actually watching it, it’s just so much sadder than I expected. 😭
