While I've enjoyed a lot of dramas with similar problematic elements, I do think it's important for people to understand that none of this behavior is acceptable in real life. It might look cute in a drama, but I would never want to be pinned against a wall, etc. in real life.
Does anyone know why the release date keeps getting pushed back? First it was august, it got pushed to September,…
Yep, because of covid. But I think fans have taken the ‘release dates’ too seriously and got disappointed in August, then September, and now October. And technically nothing has been ‘pushed back’ since GMMTV never announced the release date.
I cried so much T_T I had to keep putting this drama on hold because I didn't want to cry anymore lol. I just finished it and every episode was so touching.
Actually the people are saying it is rushed because of the quick divorce and his split up with the women he was…
Ehhh... I get your point, but those issues I don't think were particularly important to the emotional arc of the story. This drama definitely wasn't going for realistic courtroom drama or even something akin to "Kramer vs. Kramer." I believe it was going for something like the western series "The Affair" or "Big Little Lies," both of which focus mostly on emotions and character. I get why people would have questions (especially about the child custody), but I'm personally okay with open endings and not knowing everything that went down. (Btw I posted that comment a year ago! It took a bit to jog my memory about this drama lol.)
TV Asahi has announced that they will air the series in Japan. In their post, they also said that F4 will air in Thailand this fall. So let's cross our fingers for October or November! https://twitter.com/tvasahi_thai/status/1438397768846823425
Coincidentally, I watched a Kurosawa film yesterday, No Regrets for Our Youth. I had never heard of it, but I thought it was pretty good. His other films I’ve seen are Rashomon and Yojimbo. Great article, I enjoyed reading it.
I really wanted to like this drama, but about halfway through I just wasn't feeling it anymore. I guess sci-fi and time travelling isn't really my thing.
OMG!!! Cindy and Bright are so perfect to be mom and son with their Caucasian blood in them. Fah is gorgeous and…
Fans are predicting Milk will play the fiancee. I think June is playing the friend who betrays the FL. None of this is for sure tho. Cast aren’t allowed to reveal their parts yet.
I like both K-dramas and J-dramas. I don't really see a problem with either going global or staying insular tbh. I think they're merits to both strategies. The only thing is that I've watched more K-dramas in the past few years because they're most accessible than J-dramas. Though personally, I still feel that I'm more partial to J-dramas.
Great article btw. The part about American shows made me laugh. I've definitely drifted away from American shows because they go on foreverrr or get canceled after 1 or 2 seasons. If I watch any, it's ones I've seen before that more for comfort.
