A more accurate description of MX/MYs position by ep 24 is, "dear warrior of an enemy nation whom I care deeply about, can you betray the oath you gave to our master never to reveal this thing for me, a person you can't really have a relationship with because we are both warriors from opposing lands?"

Why do people who want to focus entirely on the romance assume that the FL must place their romantic relationship at the center of their existence, even if the ML has?

I enjoyed what felt like a new take on the rebirth story, but the romance, which is the core, felt rushed, in the sense that its not clear why the ML should have the connection he does to the FL, given how brief their time together and interactions where under the 'initial" run.

As for the whole "Why can't the FL be honest!" - funny, the ML lies to the FL continually also. The two lie to each other for different reasons, both based on their characters and their histories, but only Female characters get roasted as much in drama comment sections for dishonesty, specially if they haven't made the romantic relation the be all, end all reason for their lives. How tiring, honestly.

The one criticism I have of the series is pacing - the end of the story I think is rushed, specially things like Zhang Tai's relationship, and the final bad guy development. I feel like what happened in episodes 23-28 should have been happening no later than 24.

MX/MY hid most of her more obvious uses of her powers and skills as a warrior from JBZ, who was either not there or unconscious, and her lie about being MX's fiancée gives her an excuse for why she had spirit veins and could craft, which was the other clear giveaways.

Telling him she was poisoned would still, in her mind, make it seem like she manipulated him and got close to him only for the antidote. in addition, he told her his beloved Master told him never to let anyone have the GMD. So, she decided that she could not force him to decide between him and his promise to his master, and that if she could not get it by stealing, then at least she can make him hate her enough so that he would not care if she died.

The tournament is meant to prevent the Realms fighting each other, including over the distribution of the "Heavenly Rain", which appears to greatly improve the wealth and health of the people of the realms that get it. Winning the tournament means getting the Heavenly Rain, and the tournament itself is a means to maintain peace.

Healing herself is her main responsibility, yes, but are folks forgetting whom she believes herself to be? MX/MY is Royalty. She has been impersonating the position of Crown Prince, but even if you take that, she would believe herself to be a Princess, daughter of an Emperor and Empress. JBZ is not Royalty (as far a he knows), so he gets to live a life for himself. She is not a commoner.

I mean, lets be real. So she heals herself, great. Can she "realistically" (yes, this is fantasy, so we have to deal in world here) stay with JBZ? A Warrior from a different Realm? She would have to abandon everything she has ever been or knows about herself to do so. JBZ doesn't have to give up his very identity for his relationship. She does.

As a watcher, I am personally tired of the romantic angst, given that this is a 36 episode drama and 2/3 done, and the writers are ignoring the much bigger and interesting world they are playing in. So I want the miscommunication to end so the rest of the plot can move.

That said, this comment section reminds me so much of the Till the End of the Moon one, when it comes to the ML and FL. Fans of the ML assail the FL, and fans of the FL defend her, as if these are real people... Like that drama though, there is a clear divide in sentiment based on the priority given to the romance by each character. JBZ has clearly decided that his love for MX/MY is his main thing now (specially since his revenge plot is done with) and thus he is open and prioritizes their relationship. But MX/MY is not 'done' with her plot, which goes beyond saving her own life, but also dealing with what she has been told are her responsibilities. It is beyond clear that she loves JBZ like he loves her, but she hasn't prioritized their relationship above all, because she has other priorities in her life that she hasn't been able to give up.

That "rule" is particular to this specific world and story.

Besides the personal trauma reasons MX has been unwilling to tell JBZ the truth, there is another one that has been made clear from the start - it is a crime for a warrior of one of the six realms to enter another one. MX can be killed for being in Jixing Abyss, and JBZ could (actually, should) lose his title as Warrior for criminally harboring another realm's warrior.

Then , of course, are the implications for her own realm, as MX's entire career as Crown Prince and Warrior are a deception that implicate her 'mother' the Empress. JBZ has no responsibilities or connections that would make him telling the truth an issue. She has several.

Also, its not like JBZ has actually been fully honest with MX...

There was a huge falling out between their fandoms, so I would not ever expect them to work together again.

Always annoyed at the hate the FL gets - the ML is inherently tragic, so expecting the FL to sacrifice creation for him is absurd, especially since she has responsibilities. She had a mission to do, and her falling in love with the ML became part of it, but her mission is to save the world, not him.

They explain it in the show - the immortal fruit they are eating keeps them kids.

I find myself fast-forwarding those parts regularly, as there are only so many of those scenes that I can take, and there seem to be two at least per episode...

He is bigger, has longer reach, and if that is the case and they have the same amount of "internal energy" then even with her superior training, she could lose a fight. Her honest acknowledgement of her possible limits and the capabilities of her possible foes is part of what makes her a top assassin. Fighting smart is always the key.

It is always amazing how much this site is filled with people supporting anything ML's do and complaining about FL's if they stand in the way of what those men want, even when the FL's have every reason for what they do...
