Well, with only 3 episodes left - there will have to be a lot of maneuvering if they are going to give ML and FL a romance. I do think something big is coming at the firm (with some backstabbing being planned) but I couldn’t tell you what it will wind up being or result in. I imagine whatever it is will somehow move around the pieces needed to separate the ML and FL so they can set them up to be able to be together at the end.
I wasn’t sure before, but now I feel pretty convinced something will happen after the longing stares at each other at the end of this episode. I mean, they were looking into each other’s eyes for a long time and smiling like they were, that can’t mean nothing right? It certainly doesn’t give platonic mentor/mentee or boss/employee type of stare lol I mean I can’t imagine ML staring like that into any of the other lawyer ladies eyes. They are toyingggg with us lmao.
I also absolutely love the brewing romance with the other leads, and the other MLs big family is so wholesome and fun. We see the FL pushing him away, but we can tell deep down she cares for him too.
This is giving Castaway Diva vibes, and the old school romcom it's giving yes please. I'm having so much fun watching this, the low rating doesn't do it any justice.
After watching the latest two episodes, I am feeling this show is really moving away from the law cases itself and focusing on the politics of the law firm and the ML/FL relationship. The two cases were short and very low surface level without challenges.
That scene where the roommates watch the video together and start laughing was just bizarre. Who would want to watch a video like that? Especially after they covered up technicality that would have sent the sister to jail. I would have just deleted video and agreed to never to speak of it again. That was terrible writing. They could have delivered relief and sense of closure some other way. Choosing the three friends to do it instead of the victim herself was simply terrible. Felt like a disservice to this particular story and this series as a whole.
Overall though episode 8 felt powerful. We saw multiple women band together and stand up for each other and I’m glad that awful lawyer was forced to quit. The conversation the ML and FL had about ethics got me thinking. It was a good thing for him to say he’s not going to manage the ethics of a junior lawyer and it’s her responsibility to figure it out. But two episodes ago the ML was upset with the FL unethical decision to keep talking to the CEO. I know today’s issue was a much more grey area compared to the CEO, so is this more a writing inconsistency or were there underlying emotions impacting the ML response to the CEO issue 👀
- Got pregnant, aborted without discussing - Distanced herself for a year, felt no love, initiated divorce - Got together with their close friend, got pregnant - Worst thing is saying that the kid would have been his if they didn't divorce (which she initiated)
That too her husband is LSY. Is she the writer's self insert ?
Her lines are also so diabolical too 😭
“The baby must not like the cologne smell”
“This baby could’ve been yours”
“I’m sorry I didn’t realize that (love rainbow) when I was with you, but now I do with Wonjun (LSY)”
“I don’t have feelings for him, but I also didn’t push him away”
I definitely think the trick to turning back into a female is genuine love and acceptance. The women in the past all remained men and that's because they were abandoned which makes sense for the period of time those relatives lived in, being with a man would have been "too much" for them to accept. Jieun's mom may have been the first person to ever get accepted and be able to return to a woman. Yoon Jae refusing to break up and getting emotional at the thought of her being "apprehensive" because of him shows that he really does care. I think this is what allows her to turn back to a woman but she doesn't remain one yet like her mom because they haven't kissed or fully expressed their love in whatever way is necessary for the curse to break completely.
Episode 6 is so problematic? Girl sued ex who caused her to lose her job and he threatened to release s3x tape, but she lets him go in the end saying "I'm the kind of woman a man like you could truly fall for"💀 Not to mention how the man touched the FL two times. At the end that man got away with not even a slap on his wrist. It ruined the whole episode for me. What was the point of this case. I'm still trying to come up with a valid explanation.
Still a great drama and I will continue to watch it. Just wasn't a fan of this episode compared to the others.
So grandpa is grandma and her "husband left" - is this a clue as to why she is still a man? Jieun's mom became a woman again and stayed one and is with Jieun's dad. Jieun briefly became a woman again after Yoon Jae laid next to her. The whole curse is just about loving the PERSON not the BODY. So more than likely later there will be the kiss that breaks the spell or whatever?
Lastly, for the hundredth time, how hard is it to stand your ground and tell someone to just back off, Yoon Jae??? 😭
Jieun is a better woman and she should not stand for him being this lame! He does not deserve her! And tbh doesn't even deserve Chuu, you should want better for yourself, girlie! I know the options of good Korean men are limited but aim higher!
Just binged watched all 4 episodes. I'm loving this drama so far - the power dynamics, workplace struggles, and heavy moral stakes. Being a lawyer at that level isn’t for everyone. Each case peels back another layer of the characters, but that last scene with the ex? No thanks. It drips with a new level of toxicity. It’s implied his wife aborted their child only to get pregnant by his best friend, marrying him two years later. One move, and she destroyed both a marriage and a friendship. And the excuse? “He understood me better.” 😂 What’s worse, his obsession with that failed relationship feels out of character. A man like him would have moved on, made peace with it, and found someone better. Maybe if she’d died or something truly tragic had happened, it’d make sense. But watching old videos of his toxic ex years later? That’s not a strong, functional man.
Anyways, the main leads chemistry is absolutely INSANE. Whether or not we get the romance it's completely up to the PD. Can't wait for the next episodes!
Heartwarming, healing, slice of life, self worth, and second chances. Cinematography which feels like a comforting escape. This drama deserves more recognition.
Yoon Jae please do something about that girl who is chasing you around 😭 there's only so much you can allow your GIRL friend to do, when you have a GF. I don't get the logic here. I also hate the whole narrative of him being clueless and naive getting shoved down my throat. He's not a child that can't make his own choices and not think. Imagine being an adult, having a gf, and then getting pushed around like this. Idk how the Jieun is not losing it.
I'm grateful we get to see the realistic side of being a failed idol. Especially as it seems Koreans are obsessed with these idol-producing shows that group over 50 kids, fifteen of whom are lucky enough to have a pretty face and a good edit. I often wonder what happens to the rest, because the ones who keep trying to succeed don't even have a college degree. Watching an adult woman say that she has never bought a ticket and feels like a useless part of society just made me deeply sad for her. The trip isn't about her taking a break, it's about her learning to live separately from her dreams. 10/10 for me so far I'm absolutely love this. Deserves more recognition.

Ex-wife seriously sucks. She’s borderline writer’s delusion bad.
