This series doesn't really offer anything new. Your run of the mill drama where you have a typical enemies to lovers trope.
What I did enjoy was the emperor being capable and ruthless when the writers allowed it. The FL was touch and go there, one min she's standing up for herself, the next, she's trembling in fear, but ultimately she was more tough than talk, so that was cool.
The villains were also typical,so don't expect too much intricate plotting on their end. Bull in China shop is how they did it which can bring it's own brand of cheesy chaos to enjoy.
The ending wasn't expected and its also unsatisfying but also a HEA? Without explanation. I think the writers gave up in the last 2 eps.
I wouldn't watch in it again, but I don't regret watching it once. If that helps you decide.
