Watched the first ep and it was better than I expected. Anyone else getting Lovely Writer vibes from the lead couple because of their history as kids? Also, am I crazy, or is the older one the same kid? lol
Nope, in the novel it's more about the misunderstanding both sides have about each other's businesses though it…
I def thought it was going to be because the parents dated, so I was def surprised by the scholarship thing. So I was curious what happened in the novel. The novel, in general, sounds way more dramatic than the show. I there was a homophobic parent plot line, though, I'm glad the got rid of it. It's so old and overdone at this point. It almost ruined WBL pt 2 which had a perfect first part, would hate for it to ruin this show.
I thought I didn't want/need a Season 2, but after that 30 second cameo clip today, I don't know. It made me smile so much. Too much? Yeah, I'd be more than happy with a season 2
Ok, I think I'm starting to really like this version. Still a Meteor Garden stan, but the pacing for this series being 16 eps instead of like 50 is definitely better, haha
Um, the drink/energy scene was one of the cutest things I've ever witnessed. Also, as soon as the "wifey" thing was said, I was like, ugh, then IMMEDIATELY Pran called him out and that's done. This show is amazing.
This is definitely a bit darker than the other versions. I'm a little hesitant getting on board. Meteor Garden was my first intro to Kdrama/Cdrama land. 2gether was my intro to thai dramas and BLs. All of this combined should mean I LOVE this show, but the tone is a little weird for me. I know some of the themes are rough, but I do hope it lightens up a bit. I'm also excited to see the range of the actors, because right now it's a lot of crazy eyed looks from Bright and this girl likes to cry and yell a lot, lol. It's definitely not bad, I just have super high expectations.
I'm gonna miss this one so much. The awkward cuteness of it all had me smiling and laughing every episode. In the end, my favorite scene of the series is still Aoki stepping into the garbage bag and calling himself trash, because let's be real, we can all relate. What a perfect ending to such a cute series.
Holy smokes. I think they can't get cuter, then every episode, they do. I don't think there's ever been such an expressive couple in a BL before. Maybeeeee WBL is a close second, but oh man. I really really love these guys.
Also, that reveal at the end....OOOF. Why were so many people there who are never there?? I thought Wai quit? And wtf was Korn doing there? And just one other observation, WHO IS PLAYING KWAN? DOES HE EXIST? PAT IS ALWAYS ALONE WITH THE XYLOPHONE, JUST SAYING.
This show has pretty much been perfect up to this point. I'm not gonna lie, I'm super nervous it's going to take a turn when we get into the friends and family conflicts. Already seeing hints of homophobia for the next ep which makes me mad. It's almost 2022, like, why is that still THE conflict? Glad Pat didn't have to have this whole internal one about being with a guy which was great, but next ep, idk.
Those are my thoughts. I love these two. Easily in my top 5 fave couples now. Til next week.
200 % agree, from 2gether to DBK to FUTS , I always skip the side couple storylines. I imprint on 1 couple and…
Yeah, some of the 2022 shows look like a lot.... lol ATOTS also just focused on the main leads, and that was obviously a masterpiece, so hopefully more shows do this moving forward.
I don't want to jinx it and say this series is perfect so far, but damn, it is perfect. The acting, the chemistry, the pacing, everything is amazing. I also have to say, I like that GMMTV is straying away from under-developed side couples. That was one of my biggest issues with FUTS, like, the time would've been better spent on the main leads. I'm so glad Pat and Pran have the whole story to themselves, Cant wait for next week's ep :)
Was watching ep 1 on youtube, and there were missing subs and such, I refreshed the screen, and then it said the video was private and now I can't find it again. What the heck.

I don't know about you guys, but a lot of series the last couple of months have been very lackluster. I'll watch them here and there, but would not look forward to them every week. This one has now consumed my brain. I am so excited to watch this show each week, Aoki and Ida are adorable. And the side characters are fun, too. And the pacing. I hope they keep it up, :)
