I still think HERO was his best performance, all are great, but HERO was above all imo. ;) And yeah, he reminded of Colombo because the only thing that I loved from Colombo, Kohei had it as well... they are both in their own world!
I also cried with Tairiku. I knew I would cry because: dogs in Antarctica... yeah that won't go so well. But I didn't know I would be crying even after watching, while driving to work and remembering the last episode watched, and just like that the drama made me feel so much. I cannot imagine anyone not liking it. It is such a beautiful story.

I re-watched the entire movie. I love the movie. And did you know the movie is based on a French children's book? I have it on my kindle.
