Should HRY have not intervened with the mortals? yes. Should she be punished for it? yes. Was she able to choose to accept the consequences and take the divine punishment? NO. Should they have communicated better? ofc. Listened to one another and made an effort to understand? yes. yes and yes.
But it is the fact that BJS made the decision FOR HER is what I can't be on his side for. She knew the consequences but was never given the choice of taking responsibility for it bc BJS did what he did. I am not pinning all the blame on him only for the fact that she should not have meddled with the mortals but all of this further escalated bc BJS refused to let HRY accept divine punishment for HER mistakes. It was HIS DECISION to suffer ten years of divine punishment. It was HIS DECISION to abandon HRY without truly telling her why. HRY should have taken HER punishment for HER mistakes not him.
"And most importantly, I gave her the right to choose."
edit: I understand why BJS decided to take the divine punishment. Yes, I know that one would not want to see their lover get hurt and whatnot BUT his actions only caused more anguish and misunderstandings. It did not exactly help him nor her.
~He should have gave her some explanation instead of making her believe that he decided to discard her with a snap of a finger bc of her mistakes, ending their long-term relationship~ (i know that would defeat the purpose of the whole drama but ૮(˶╥︿╥)ა ya know)
Had he honestly gone and explained to HRY why he was returning to heaven and still went through with leaving her behind, the heartache and hatred would have lessened by miles. At the very least, it would have been a different type of heartache and resentment anyway. IMO, her constant loathing and "stubbornness" to say otherwise is completely justified.
Qing Yang should not have died the way she did .·°՞(¯ □ ¯)՞°·. Long Yuan you piece of ignorant trash!!! BJS GET TF BACK HERE AND PUNISH YOUR DAMN DOG. BANISH HIM. THIS MFER. UGH IM SO MAD lol
edit: sorry, i was so mad i didn't even think of such. Anyways. Even if LY somehow ends up innocent, i still don't like his attitude and the way he does things all haphazardly.
ughhh Long Yuan is practically causing even more chaos than HRY. He's quite literally being what the Meng kid ended up believing gods and immortals to be: unfair, uncaring, and unjust.
I'm sorry Long Yuan but the bromance is not reallll lmaoo Maybe im just real biased to team red but this man irks my soul lolol
ep.20 wait.. maybe i just lack drama intelligence, insight or foresight but.. This damn drama has me surprised every single time. Every time i think it's one thing, it's always the other. Really keeps you on your toes. .·°՞ (T □ T) ՞°·.
As much as BJS did not want to necessarily be entangled with the mortals, I did not expect him to save Tao with his powers so openly in the eye of the public like that. But ya know, for the progression of the plot~
side note. I'm backtracking a little but I also did not expect FLE to be team red. I really thought she was just gonna be another typical side female character vying for the ML. I really like her character though, so far.
Rewatching a couple of episodes- it's just so nice seeing the Empress and Consort on good terms. Even with jealousy, they understood one another and listened. Never fought. Never made a mess of the imperial palace. They let each other do what was best. Truly one of my favorite minor aspects of this drama!
currently on hold at ep19 ;-; can someone tell me the ep of when the misunderstanding gets cleared? Just wanna know how long the separation/resentment is so I can brace myself for more of the frustration and heartache lol tyty
wow i did not expect practically EVERYONE to die in this ep and so early on .. how cruel (っ- ‸ - ς)
i know half of the main plot is about revenge and the bandits while the other half is DW's journey towards building her own shop but damn. And I was starting to like Cao Da too ;-;
It's a decent drama though I must say it is very repetitive. Not much depth for certain details and the last fight felt a bit underwhelming imo. I really liked ZXD in this drama tho.
is it just me or..? The fl has such Esther Yu vibes. She's not as quirky as Esther Yu tends to be but i think its the lips and side profile. idk its probably just me lol ┐(´~`ˇ)┌
gosh, LYQ plays his character, SYR, so well. I absolutely f---ing hate his guts. lol the character ofc not the actor himself, dont misunderstand plz ;-;
i mightve missed it but does anyone know/have an idea about how long XXF was on that mountain and at Zhennu Hall before she went home to the Jiang Family? everything happened a lot closer to the previous event than i thought.
isn’t ye shi jie meant to be jiang li’s cousin, why would he have feelings for her?
i don't think theyre related by blood. theyre related by the marriage of the adults. They have no connection whatsoever in terms of genes I think. hard emphasis on the i think lol
