im only 10 eps in but man.. the comedic bits and effects throughout each ep is really taking me out of it. Comedy just isn't my thing as a main genre of entertainment, it's fine to sprinkle it here and there but it's a little too much in this for me.. it's like lowkey pissing me off haha
I like the plot but the unserious notes all around is really killing my vibe TT
mmm. bittersweet all round I'd say. Even with the happy ending.
last few episodes were a bit of a let down for me. The buildup for the fight against Qi Min was very subpar and underwhelming imo. I really wished they didnt mush everything in the last few episodes since they started out strong.
XZ and WY having a final meal together and sharing laughs was very bittersweet. I cried. The alt ending and seeing a world where everyone in Lin'an welcomed CY home was a bit sad to say the least.
As much as I don't like things being dragged out, I think the last couple of episodes would have benefitted better if it did. It almost lacks depth(?) from how rushed it seemed in the end.
I still liked it overall! On to post drama depression until I scrounge up the will to watch my other 20+ bookmarked dramas that I haven't touched ;;
wow...uh, how ridiculous. The emperor is really something. Reminds me of how I cried as a kid when I got scolded ;; lolol
anyways, am I the only one that's not liking Jin Yuan Bao and his jealousy(?) I really wished they didn't make him out to be another "sad, unrequited love character". Can't they just admire her platonically 😭
That reminds me, another drama I finished recently, one character cared deeply for the ML but it was solely platonic and out of the goodness of their heart. Oh, how I wish it was like that with JYB 😭
rewatching the beginning scene of ep 27, I have to say I absolutely loved how TXW delivered those lines. The anger, frustration, heartbroken-ness, everything. The way her voice fluctuated and broke was just so perfectly done.
Xie Wu and Xie Qi. I don't know why but I really like the cloaks they wear with the fabric draped over their necks. They look so good. Honestly, all the outfits throughout the drama so far, I really like. Especially CY's armor in ep 29-30
Honestly, I expected Zhao Xun to continue the path of evil (in fear) since his situation is very typical of that trope. Happy he's helping Bao'er and hopefully he stays that way!
watched 25-27 ! now onto more waiting... finally his identity is revealed! 😭 I wish FCY slapped him some more though haha Also, I like how FCY never became a damsel in distress ( i quite like that trope honestly lol although it depends on how they portray it) she remained strong through and through! 💪
Anyways, I do wonder how the story is gonna unfold since we only have 13 episodes left and we've only just scratched the surface with the Wei's, Li's, the imperial court, the emperor. Everything essentially. The first 20+ episodes was a lot of relationship building between the leads so it seems everything else will be packed in the last few eps.
As much as I don't want it to be rushed in the end, we'll just have to see (。•́︿•̀。)
I don't mind spoilers, reading all these comments but the wait is slowly getting to me lolol Staying strong till ep 27 comes out so i can binge 25-27 cause that's when things get a little heated. gotta love/hate me some angst :D
maybe it's time to wait and binge the rest. one ep a day is not enough!! 😭 There's about 2 weeks until its finished 😩 I'm already getting post drama depression. ;-;
havent watched ep 16-17 yet and I think this is where it's gonna pick up
I'm having the dilemma of 'Should I continuing watching as each ep gets released or Should I wait for all the eps to come out and binge' 😩 Do I wait? Do I keep watching as the days go by? Ahhhhh I have no patience for either LMAO
I didn't take myself to be the possessive nor jealous type really but the way I would have shut all those ladies down, fawning over him and asking him to do things. ughh It may have just been cause it's ZLH but whew did that annoy me LMAO
side note. This might be my favorite look for both ZLH and TXW!!!
I finished this a couple of days ago and am rewatching/reminiscing through episodes <3
And just wanted to say I really really liked how Fan Yue mourned, cried and held onto Tian Huo when she passed. I may not have watched that many dramas to witness this but seeing that was kind of surprising and very heartwarming. I don't think I've ever encountered a drama where the male lead gives that sort of platonic intimacy to a female comrade and vice versa.
That being said, this drama was probably one of the best to watch in awhile for me. (though I can't say I really enjoyed the ending but I think I'm just picky with endings lol)
ep 11. really cut deep for me. my gosh. it was too real in her response and reaction. it is so hard trying to reason with parents who are oblivious to their mistakes and refuse to truly listen and understand where you are coming from and why we act they way we do.
the utter disbelief, audacity, sadness and disappointment Lusi portrayed felt very real to me and my experiences. It was very well performed, imho. 👏
does DM and DZ continue the path of having bad blood or do they become true sisters (or at the very least they acknowledge one another with cordialness) im hoping the latter but ¯\_(´ー`)_/¯
rewatching a few scenes~ Aside from his brutish demeanor and lack of niceties, I can't get over how attractive LYN looks in this. ughhh This is probably by far one of my favorite looks of all the characters he's played so far.
bittersweet. Though I can't say I like the ending. Not really big on the whole time travel schtick nor does it make sense (in my dookie brain at least).
Buuutttttt, it really does live up to the name. Feud~
With the way things were unfolding, it felt really set on the sad end route. Honestly, it was VERY bittersweet and not necessarily a happy ending for me though. It was good.
tsk. tsk. we just don't want a happy ending with the way all of us are passionately debating each side/no side. IM KIDDING. im kidding. With that being said, only 5 episodes left! I'm already getting post drama depression ._. lolol

Waiting for QianQian and CY's reunion!! 💜

Didn't think I would cry this hard. Changyu, you have my heart. happiness to come hopefully 🫶 TT
Now, just waiting impatiently for the reveal ;; sighs
