Why do you say so? I’m not talking about the toxic fans tweet though, i’m pointing out some reasonable concerns from LPE’s fans too. These aren’t in anyway an attack on anyone.

You can see below there the former agency already responded to NJ’s statement, some points they’ve given were exactly what some of the fans pointed out earlier.

Ofcourse, those are definitely ill-intentioned. But the problem is people are now focusing more on irrelevant people/things like the ones you shared and trying to defend NJ more instead of the real issue right now which is LPE’s fight against his former company. Here is one account that explains well why the NJ’s statement could potentially hurt LPE more in the long run.

I also see those ill-intentioned tweets half the time, but i also see the non-toxic rational povs of other concerned fans so i try to focus on the real issue instead of engaging in the toxic ones.

So looks like the reason why some fans have a problem with the “official” statement from NJ was because of possible legal repercussions. Aside from it being released on their personal account instead of the company, some fans pointed out that some details are too personal or might be confidential and might fire back on them in the long run. As of now the former company has already issued another statement in response to NJ’s statement. I really hope NJ consults with their legal and PR team before releasing a statement. Fans from legal profession pointed out the the statement was unprofessional for an “official” statement and can be used for future countersuit etc. Gosh what a headache. I just hope this won’t affect LPE negatively even

I really don’t know what part of my original post did i excuse or approve of the toxic JL’s tweets (i’m a Desire4 fan not just JiangLi’s), i was pointing out some potential legal issues that could arise. I wasn’t attacking anyone but somehow the whole thread ended up focused on unrelated tweets i didn’t even talk about 😅

Its kind of ironic, now you’re literally doing the exact same thing the toxic 2nd cp fans are being called out for here and in other socmed, by picking on the smallest things and crying favoritism. Now that its not your fave getting the “preference” its suddenly unfair, but when it was the other way around they’re toxic, see the hypocrisy?

And look, i’m not an NJ defender and i agree they definitely still have alot to improve on with the way they handle things but not everything has some agenda in it.

Agree, LPE’s struggle before was widely known, its been a long and hard fight for him so i really hope the toxic fans don’t use this for more fanwars, the healthy and non-toxic side of both fandoms have always been supportive of one another especially in times like these. Hopefully we can focus on the real issue of LPE and not get sidetracked by other things

This is their response because LPE’s former company posted, threatening that LPE is still under them and any future partnership with him (like Guerlain) might have some legal consequences. This is what i understood from translating some posts a saw.

Thank god LPE found a better company, supportive friends and amazing fans 🩵

I’m not trying to point finger on who’s more to blame or who’s more toxic in this scenario, since its not just this issue/time i notice theres always some toxicity on both sides. I just wanted to point out that there are toxic fans that engages in this toxic behaviour on both fandoms though admittedly one may be louder than the other, but again somehow only the JL’s side are constantly brought up here.

As a fan of both i try to be neutral but seeing the everyday fandom war is exhausting for sure.

It’s still there, i think Eliot even got a “September Star of Attention” award/badge (not sure what it’s called) just a few days ago. They’re all finally verified (i know Eliot took awhile), so hopefully whatever they’re trying to do won’t succeed.

I follow both fandoms in X so i usually come upon the toxic posts on both side too. That being said some toxic XingQiu fans were also posting, insulting and sabotaging LPE’s collaboration with Guerlain in Weibo using the brands official hashtag just after the announcement saying he doesn’t deserve it, making fun of him too, etc. I’m not excusing what the toxic JL fans are doing but all i’m saying is these toxic behaviour happens in both fandoms not just JL. I know JL’s toxic fans are loud but somehow i only see JL’s toxic fans’ behaviour being called out here and not XQ’s.

He really was perfect for the role, physically and yes the duality in his acting is chef’s kiss. I even remember reading a description of HuaYongs hand from the novel before, something like long, pale and slender/thin(?) fingers and then watching a close up of his hand and thinking it’s exactly as described! honestly i’m not even sure if i read it from the novel anymore or it was just a fan edit either way he’s 100% the embodiment of HuaYong 😅
