She does that because she has no other way. Yes, she loves him, but she failed to destroy the evil bone with the nails and by then she was already dying, so the only thing she can do is seal his evil bone. She comes back to the future, back to being Susu.

Susu seals his evil bone and gives him a love line thus dying in the process. When he is Jiumin he already has a love line.

In the novel we got the whole description on how he holds the goddess statue, his expressions etc in the drama it is just one frame

In the novel he is described to look pale with red eyes and bright red lips but in the drama his lips look brown sometimes I think the production should have edited the color because the filters changed it a lot

About the drug thing, I don’t know yet, the first crisis only happens after the other maid arrives when ML is grounded but we don’t know if it will happen in the drama.

That scene is a stunt planned by SFL to kill the FL. SFL plans with the other Tantai Prince to be kidnapped with FL, then forces ML to choose one, the other will die. ML chooses SFL and FL jumps from the tower to kill herself. This is the end of the first arc.

That scene when he actually triggers the talisman looks like his emotions rooted, in the novel we only know he feels something when the artifact produces the nails, and he does not have a love line until the FL gives he one. But it seems they are going to take a different path in the drama and makes him grow a love line.
