But I could grasp Ayin personality a bit and Lusi definitely fits the role. Now I'm already excited for this because I love ALP so much.

The novel is more focused on Yuan Qi, the thing is, the novel starts during those years Shanggu waited for Bai Jue return, when Yuan Qi is training with Donghua, so the last episode of Ancient Love Poetry happens only by the middle of Yuan Qi's book. Even when Bai Jue returns, we don't see much of him in the novel, so I think the drama can go with Yuan Qi receiving letters from Shanggu and Bai Jue when he is on his adventures.

Nothing nearly as good in this first three months of 2023. And we used to get good dramas as this every year, Story of Minglan, Joy of Life, Nirvana in Fire, Rebel Princess, it would come one after another but 2023 seems hopeless.
