I think in NL eyes, MRF is the type of jianghu hero for the people, but not for her. The fever thing is just wrong timing for MRF, didn't MRF just went out to chop wood. I understand NL, and I feel sorry for MRF.

The way Tian is acting I think he at first want to use NL to hurt MRF, but typical of soap operas this type of villain often fell for real for the person they're using, not a suprise.

Agree. Drama is too niche and too old school wuxia to reach broader range of viewers, but so far I found although not many people and may not reach huge numbers of comments, the discussion atmosphere in this page is quite peaceful and mature.

I heard the 1999 version changed a lot from its novel, but for people who didn't read the novel they said it's good too, and Charmaine was so pretty. Boy I missed the heydays of TVB, the last gen I can recognize maybe Bosco, Ray and the gang. Now they're also old.

Yes exactly, their expectation for this marriage is different, NL needs a family man who is pampering the family at home, meanwhile MRF need someone like HYD wife who wholeheartedly understand jianghu. Sad that they have so much chemistry when they first met.

Just for record, 1991, 1985, and 2007 adaptation have both novel copyrights so their storyline should be almost the same with each other

TVB 1999 Charmaine Sheh version only has the copyright for Xue Shan Fei Hu novel, and this 2022 drama only has cooyright for Fei Hu Wai Zhuan so should be different, MRF daughter is not one of the heroine.

Make sense because he used to be a big star in China back then wasn't he, he leads so many dramas. I'm not into him too but I think his acting is good.

Peter Ho has been an actor for a long time and his acting is good, in the past he used to be main leads for many drama, and he was much cuter back then..I'm just irritated by his character, it's not about his acting.

I don't remember Zhao Banzhan from the novel at all, so I don't care. The only memorable character is Cheng Lingsu and she's coming soon. I like the build up of YZY and HF, it gives them time to bond not abruptly love love, and I don't know where MRF has screentime, are we watching the same drama? I don't mind if he has more, I like this character. He has been missing in so many episodes. What I want to cut is NL and TGN unnecessary and annoying lovey dovey scenes which has nothing to do with main line. They took up so much screentime, my eyes..

Haha why are you all so uptight, the drama did change things, if not our heroine YZY will be hated by audience. I don't mind the little changes, the main line of the story of Hu Fei becoming people's hero is still there, just little details are changed
