You should try, I even tried watching a few movies as old as the 80s that looked like some Shaw Brothers productions, and a few of them were pretty good flicks.

Omg thanks for writing this! Yanxi Palace is one of the best made drama ever. I love ancient-garb dramas, but many people told me they hate it because the girls are always so useless and whiney. Everything is slow and doesn't make sense.
Yanxi Palace proved them wrong! It's super hooking to find out what would happen next in each episode, and the female lead keeps amazing us over and over again without a rest. They put in so much ideas in the plot and characters, while keeping history almost accurate too.

I love the queen very much as well. Even though the king couldn't be loyal to her, the drama did so good at portraying how he really respect her.

Oh yes Eddie, how did I forget him. So many guys to remember. He's super adorable. I only watched him in 2 shows, Chinese Paladin and Young Warriors but loved him forever.

Xiao Zhan almost reminded me of Vincent Jiao my top fave, the much skinnier and way younger version. I'd yet to complete The Untamed to know more about his acting.

Justin Yuan, is that Yuan Hong? Is that his english name? I like Yuan Hong very much too, him along with Wallace Huo and Hu Ge. My Chinese Paladin guys!

I like Elvis Han very much too, although I did not enjoy Chinese Paladin 5 at all. Base on looks, he is another currently manly and handsome one.

I almost wanted to list Bruce Lee, he does happen to look really good too! But I didn't watch all his films. When he was still alive Jet Li and Jackie Chan had no chance in the movie industry.

Dragon Love starred Benny Chan right? I like that show so much too, I watched it so many times as a kid. The OST in there are the best. It is very hard to find these classics now, you might find the raw one if you search up the title in chinese. Use google chrome and translate to english.

So the same director messed up before? Why was she even given this big project? I don't always agree with Avenuex reviews but most of the time I do, I learned lots of things I would recommend it here.

I agree with her 100% this novel has so much fans it's not a bad story and the castings is great. Even if there are similiar tropes that I'm bored of, if they can direct it in an intersting way I probably won't have any issue. The director really messed up huge time. I noticed the people look too white and weird, until Avenuex pointed out it was the lighting's fault I realize that is totally correct. The casts are really beautiful to still manage looking great when the lighting was so terrible. Some parts are so damn long, they should be conveyed in a few minutes only. And some important parts should be a little longer and show people emotion like Avenuex example, but they didn't show that and rushed.

Watched up to all the latest trailers. The similar stuff from every other Xian Xia bores me, such as the mortal arcs that I am so over and done with.
I think the directing did such a terrible job and should not direct again, when Bai Qian jumped down her hole (both movie and drama) it was so beautiful that it became one of everyone's favorite scenes. The music was beautiful. Feng Jiu and Di Jun's conversation before she jumps was boring, when she jumped and it only looked like a copy of 10 Miles movie adaptation. All I can say is I feel bad for Dilireba and Vengo Gao.

Don't know if teens and kids would be interested the movie, it is so boring overall.

I think anybody who is into martial arts would like this, it totally had that wulin feels all over it. The fighting isn't embarrassing slow like most of the things out there now. And the acting is really on point.
The food part that was kind of dumb, I see bad CGI there. But everything else about the CGI was good enough that I don't care if it can be better because it already fulfilled that full mark.

The only bad thing is the story. It isn't interesting enough to begin with. I can see they tried hard to move forward as fast as they could because there is way too much to cover. I love that they wasted no time. But, it's just not interesting.

I'm expecting The Living Dead too, I don't know the full story if it will be interesting. But I don't have high expectation since most movies today are not good. I hope, at the minimum, they can live up to the choreography and CGI in this movie.

OH! She looks just like Huang Yi in that photo. I love her looks, hoping her drama will be great I am looking forward to it very much.
