So glad I decided to click on this article cause I just spent the last 2 days binge watching this drama! I have no idea how this escaped my attention because I find psychological dramas really interesting so thank you so much for writing such a detailed article that caught my eye. The production on this series is fantastic and writing is so engaging; it really tugs on the heart strings at times. The actors also did an excellent job, I adored the main 3's chemistry. Although the ending is a bit frustrating (seriously, how could we not get a season 2 after that?!), it overall was a really satisfying watch. This is most certainly not a drama that I will forget any time soon so thank you again :)
Having watched the 12 episodes so far, he's shown some redeeming qualities; I'd definitely say there's potential…
Lol don't worry about it. Yeah I'm totally with you, I can't stand his character and I hope he doesn't become the end game villain cause the sooner he's gone the better. He's basically like a spoiled child who's throwing a tantrum cause he can't have what he wants.

I think you've misunderstood who we were talking about. We were discussing Du Shao Yang, not Gao Yu. Speaking of Gao Yu though, I completely agree. At this point, he is completely irredeemable after what he did to Yu Shi. He would have most likely followed through with it had he not been interrupted. And you're definitely right about the ring. His darkness was there from the beginning and the ring is only feeding it further. I imagine anyone not harbouring ill intentions would not be affected by the rings power
i think the drama is definitely purposely edited like this, its a risk using this kind of a way of telling a story…
I know what you mean, I've seen many dramas do it. But in this case I like it. Of course this is just my opinion and you may think differently if you decide to watch it. I guess I'm just invested in the story, characters and universe so it works for me. Would love to know what you think should you watch it

I agree that this drama is definitely different from other Cdramas in terms of editing and flow, and personally it mostly works for me too. Some transitions can be jarring but a lot of the time it helps to build suspense and keep you intrigued. And I think everytime so far its paid off when everything slowly comes together. The pay off is pretty satisfying. I can see how that wouldn't appeal to everyone though.
I've yet to watch episode 34 yet but I'm pretty sure Jiang Shou is Liu Zhi (probably has multiple personality disorder). Them revealing Yi Heng's father to be under the cloak explains who's been appearing to the victims throughout the year. He's basically been Liu Zhi's henchman/decoy since we know at this point he's being forced to work for him. My theory at this point is that Liu Zhi has been dead for a while (the skeleton we saw) and Jiang Shou, who was once his disicple, is carrying on his legacy by creating this 'Liu Zhi' persona. Not that he's aware of it though. Hopefully the last few episodes will give us the answers we've been craving for all series.
I think Pang planned to join forces with Soput because Grace told him that's what he needed to do. I think Grace…
I thought something similar too. If Pang really did give in it would be understandable after everything he's been through. But, I think we haven't seen the whole picture. Pang could be in on the whole plan as to distract the director and make him lower his guard thinking he's won. While the others execute their plan behind the scenes. So excited to see how this will play out!
They might have shortened it to allow more time for scenes. I've seen other shows do it in the past when they want to avoid cutting down on important scenes.
In my opinion, I think this is the strongest entry to 'The Tomb' franchise so far. I've enjoyed the other series for most aspects but they've always been lacking in some way. This series however ticks nearly all the boxes for me. An intriguing mystery, engaging characters (main and supporting) with great chemistry, good directing and cinematography, exciting action sequences...I could go on. The soundtrack was quite memorable too, though some new material in later episodes would have been welcomed. 60+ episodes can seem like a lot to take on but I honestly enjoyed nearly every arc of this show and genuinely wanted to watch it till the end; with some series it can almost become a chore but I didn't feel this way with this one. Yes, there are plot holes and some draggy moments but I think that's inevitable with such a high episode count. Overall, this was a great watch that I will sorely miss tuning into each week. Until the next adventure!
Does anyone noticed that while old Gifted students were celebrating Punn was missing there. Am I wrong or any…
I noticed that too, wonder if they'll address it in the next episode since the show usually pays attention to even the smallest details. I'm a lot more suspicious of Korn though as the leader of the anti-gifted. Or at least the show is making him look suspicious.
My dear..... Don't blame people that dropped it, if you are good fan following cdrama rather than dropping it,…
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by your comment but I know some people only give a drama a few episodes before coming to a conclusion. And I agree that, especially when it comes to lengthy dramas that have 40+ episodes, you should give it more of a chance. I just realise some people might not have the patience hence why I decided to review it to help those hesitant to continue.
