This short was heartwarming. Wang Gege undeniably elevated it from the start, sharing good chem with Haoxiang. Too bad romance felt underdeveloped, but the comedy and the cute family dynamics compensated for it.
Watched this cuz i'm a fan of Wang Gege. ML was nice as well. These two have the perfect height gap and look good together. Too bad the romance was lackluster at best, frankly disappointed in that regard. 😣They still made a decent platonic pair and worked separately to bring down their enemies. I'd recommend if you're into secret revenge, hidden identity plots but don't expect much romance, it's kinda nonexistent.. But expect dumb BS like the leads being married but can't recognize each other with tiny masks 😂
Fang Zhengnan & Zhang Chuxuan looked quite good together. They have a good bickering chemistry. But the romance itself wasn't all that great. It was stalling to a point viewers started shipping her with his brother instead 😂 That will-they-won't-they kept dragging and secrets kept piling up and they went with that "I'm cheating on you/it's not your son" charade till the bitter end. This made the ML seem hella dumb. Man couldn't even put 2 & 2 together.. Overall, i don't like this kind of tactless, childish plot but the actors delivered well.
Watched this ten days ago and it's fresh in my mind. Though i usually enjoy seeing Gege with Shen Hao Nan or Zhang Jijun. I really liked watching this pair immensely. Loved their acting, their cute bickering and the comedy elements made me laugh heartily. Would LOVE to see them act together again.
I've already watched this in June.. Kept skipping the caricature villains scenes. But I can't get enough of the leading pair. I'd watch about anything they star in. They're too darn cute together. They have that "real CP" chemistry ykwim? 🥰
Watched this raw cuz I'm a big fan of Kim Yeji, fell in love with KARDI clips on YouTube (currently my fav K-rock band) but enjoyed discovering Cracksilver. They're hardworking, earnest and fun to watch. Can't help but root for both bands.🔥💖
I love seeing Wang Nan and Yang Mie Mie separately, sadly this one didn't do it for me. There was a latent chemistry but left unexplored. Skinship was skipped and romance was a letdown. Disappointed cuz these two have great chemistry with others.. Story was piss-poor despite the potentially complex ''blood enemies to lovers'' premise. It's only 32 mins but I skipped a lot. Plot was paper thin, I didn't miss much. 4/10
"ML was a cute, manly simp for FL, he has a larger-than-life self-sacrificing love for her but we don't even know…
IKR? It's crazy how these stories have 'em swearing their undying love for FLs without any rhyme or reason and we're supposed to be deeply moved by it 😂
Other Proya ads had "better" (should i say more consistent?) scripts. Despite liking both leads and the fact that they look cute together, romance was lukewarm AT BEST. The story left me with so many qsts; why is she dressed in rags when she's a millionaire? Why get married under a false secret hobo identity? To whom did she leave her company all those years and now she's suddenly back? How da hell did no one recognize her? Her husband lived with her for 3 whole years and didn't recognize her cuz she put a lil makeup and a fancy dress on? Sigh! This was such a letdown that it's only abt 47 mins and i still skipped to get it over with.
Well-made commercial. The usual tropes but i liked the leads. Shen Hao Nan's acting was nice as usual. He has little funny mannerisms that make his character seem quirky. I like it!
I like seeing Jijun on my screen, Ma Qiu Yuan too, they look lovely together. This short was cute for a commercial. The subversion of clichés and FL's meta comments were funny. Made me chuckle a couple of times. The special itself wasn't anything great. The product placement could've been more smoother, broke my immersion but the way the leads acted hella cringe (at times intentionally) was irritating made me wanna smack 'em lol BUT it was annoyingly cute (i wanna see Jijun in a drama acting a fool) Looking forward to see them act in better projects.
Distance makes the heart grow fonder.. Overlyfamiliar plot in bite-sized format but i liked this version, the leads argue like a real couple, have an organic push & pull chemistry and learn from their past mistakes and try to mend their broken (but not the less nuanced) relationship. Both messed up, have deep-rooted insecurities and suit eachother. She was blinded and insecure in love and a doormat to her surroundings, loved him too much to a point of losing herself and he took it for granted. And he loved her too in a possessive, childish way, was always too busy to look out after her well-being but act entitled like he owned her. Glad both woke up and smelled the coffee and kicked the irrelevant thirdwheel vixen to the curb. I like that some scenes hinted at how genuine their relationship was. Despite the many grievances shown, they felt like husband and wife, not a fake forced-to-be-together CP. Their love is flawed and slightly tragic but it was fun seeing them try to work things out, right some wrongs, grow apart and grow back closer.
I love this pair together but this drama kept getting ridiculous. The girl is a teen but she's not just a secret millionaire that nobody knows abt, she has a secret past, she has another hidden family, she's a genius hacker, she's also a genius painter AND a genius composer and a genius pianist oh I forgot and a genius healer/ acupuncturist and has a hidden big research lab that heals genetic diseases and has amazing martial arts skills AND she's been locked up in a mental institution for years.. Make of that what you will.
I love this pair together. They have great chemistry. The romance here was sweet, but that's about it.
I wanted to like this drama but the story kept getting more ridiculous. Like many C-shorts it requires a lot of suspension of disbelief. The girl was experimented on in a lab but at the same time has a hidden life as a secret infiltror, secret genius hacker, has amazing fighting skills, secret amazing gambler etc, on top of her blood's healing powers.. Come on! And that's not even the most ridiculous part.. 😂 4/10
This is a short spin-off/rip-off? of the drama "My Lethal Man". CP was cute as pie and had good chemistry. Wanna see them act together in other projects. The spin in the story made this short worth the watch, though it made the romance creepier (FL is the doppelganger of ML's sister) Let's just say here it's way less nuanced and elusive than the OG.
Couldn't enjoy leads' romance as much as I would've liked. Hated the FL's dumb choices. Felt uncomfortable and kept skipping scenes. FL kept stringing both men around. Sleeping with one and promising to marry the other. FL kept being in a secret forbidden relationship with ML, and insisting to marry his sleazebag nephew NO MATTER WHAT for an apparently misguided promise (even after she KNEW he cheated on her with her sister and suspected he's in it for the money) It didn't make sense at all. Leads had great chemistry. Would love to see them in a better story.

This was too short to develop a rich narrative. Was sweet, bitesized and enjoyable nonetheless.
