There was absolutely ZERO reason for her to dump him & disappear for a whole year.. 😮💨 Can't give it more than 5.5/10. I mostly liked the leads chemistry, visuals, decor, costumes and the sworn blood enemies trope.
falling in love with the person who killed your family? is this some kind of fetish?
It's more nuanced than that. His whole clan was wiped out and their property stolen by her father & his assistant.. Her father got what he deserved. She had nothing to do with it, esp since her "dear father" threw her to the streets when she was a child, turned her into a killer and faked his death later to save his back and get her to take revenge on his enemies. He's not family, he's scum. Yet she was still torn and almost killed ML, made him suffer in many ways for it.. Even though he personally saved her life too many times to count..
Checked the trailer the other day, i'll be mostly watching for Jang Nara unnie, i miss her. She'll do great playing a chic, classy tough FL i just know! Also looking forward the girl power duo.
Kinda disappointed. The comments made it seem WAY better than it actually is. It's a cute story, sure. But nothing was impactful. Acting was nice (I'd like to see lead actor in other projects. He has a charismatic presence) but nothing in this story was of consequence. Everything was so caricaturically whimsical (due to poor writing). Even "supposedly" emotional scenes felt meh. Even third-rate manhwa have better plots. Didn't except much from a mini Cdrama to begin with but didn't feel the leads' romance. Watch if you're into beautiful costumes, some fantasy and a playful very basic story with cute leads.
This was sugar sweet. Love the leads together. They have good chemistry. Would love to see them in more & more projects together. This felt like cute easily-palatable manhwa story. I didn't feel strongly for the not-so-full-fledged characters and didn't mind the clichés, skipped a lot of the second leads scenes.. Though I wish they developed the backstory behind the romance better as ML was a cute, manly simp for FL, he has a larger-than-life self-sacrificing love for her but we don't even know how or why. He just does.
ML actor sold me on this. I think I'll be checking out his projects from now on. The story was interesting but was so unrealistic and far-fetched at times that it surpasses any makjang. Poor, nonsensical writing and a lot of tired tripes thrown in. Surprisingly I managed to complete and (somewhat enjoy) this.
I totally agree! The parts focusing on the hair salon were boring to me. It could easily be cut by more than half…
IKR?! What disappointed me most was the lacking romance. They wasted lots of potential their story could've had, after all those years of longing, it should've been an indelible, heart-wrenching but satisfying romance. But what do we get? Crumbs, hair salon trivia, work troubles, competitions and SML arc...
I'm literally struggling to finish the last episode. This should've been 24 eps instead.I skipped a lot in the last 5 eps. It's dragging a lot. The sci-fi side of the story was put on the back burner to focus on FL's hairstylist/makeup artist career and side drama instead. What saddens me is that the leads had chemistry but the romance felt criminally underwhelming and incredibly lacking in the last part. There was so much built up and longing that didn't amount to anything. They should've focused on the couple instead of the Jangbo story and the competition arc. Sigh, can't give it more than 6.5/10 when there are better stories that don't drag as much and focus on better parts instead.
So... It's 2024 now. Does anyone have similar dramas to recommend? I still haven't found anything that gives me…
"Hidden Love" I watched it right after this one. ML is the opposite of this one (he's a walking forest 💚) but the romance is rewarding, it has that same "longing to be yours" effect. There's an age-gap and a sugar sweet one-sided crush, not to mention good chemistry between the beautiful leads..
Plot feels like a manga with too many yandere/killer characters. Crazy runs in the fam? There was NO need for another twist tho. We been knew he's a stalker, not right in the head, head-over-heels for Rin and killing off people..Poor Rinka has some of the worst luck ever. It's as if she's stuck in a horror dating game.Anyhow, i like the message regarding adultery, and how many lives it can ruin. Same with the awareness abt data breach threats and lack of privacy while using apps.
Hit and run. In his defense nobody died or was srsly injured luckily, he's still young so he panicked but he came back soon after and apologized. The police nor the victim didn't press charges.

I watched it recently for for the 1st time tho..

Ugh wish this was a dark, action-packed melo instead..

Not much into HS stories but I'm looking forward to this one.

Awful remake that didn't readapt anything. This should've stayed as a shoujo manga.
