Also, what pure douchebaggery from the new husband. The ex-wife says him telling the ML about the move was “out of pettiness” — seriously, dude? You’re getting the baby with the ex-wife and trying to run off to Singapore with the guy’s dog, so in what universe do you have the right to be petty toward the guy whose dog you’re trying to take?
I had this moment toward the beginning with the ex-wife, right after the ML saw the baby bump the first time, when she explained about how it was about the timing with them, not that she didn’t want a kid with him but does with the new husband, when I thought “that’s a very real thing” and I really didn’t mind her. I thought we were just going to watch him come to terms with that and move on with his life. Instead, we get her and the new husband trying to take the dog and have their new perfect family in a whole other country! Wtf. Meanwhile, though, I really didn’t think they’d be able to convince me the mom wasn’t horrible, but this episode with her really helped. It doesn’t hurt that I’ve got a playpen of special needs kittens sitting next to me that looked back at every time Cherry was on the screen. That was a really sweet development.
I think this is differently good from the korean version but i kinda dislike how in this one they made the husband…
Yeah, I feel that way about Reina’s character, too. I do enjoy shorter dramas, since you get less unnecessary crap tossed in (looking at you, BoA storyline) but I really like how they depicted the betrayer couple in the kdrama. For both of them, you could see how she fell into their clutches.

Oh man. Generally, I *love* the single season only nature of kdramas, and I’m certainly satisfied with the ending of this, but I would LOVE another season. What a freaking delight. This was so thoroughly enjoyable all the way through. I just finished and can’t stop grinning 😂
It really broke my heart when the mc's mother advised her to keep treating her husband well in hopes that he would…
Totally agree. I want to see her mom’s reaction when she realizes Inho did more than just “mess up.” I literally yelled at my screen when she was advising her daughter 😭
