I deleted the comment because I didn't want to be so sappy, but there are people who love and support you. I watch Shiba and Koji on YouTube and get so happy when they are so affectionate toward their son. Asian dads being openly affectionate is another barrier that is slowing coming down.

I was mad at first, but after I thought about it, Best confessed and Dew responded. I'm a mother and I was so upset that another mother would hurt her child so badly out of her own homophobia. I would have told Fern to mind her own business.

My conspiracy theory is they posted it because so many people were mad. They still wasted almost 3 episodes on nothing.

While I acknowledge that the main couple are only together in about 3 minutes of each episode, and I'm in the minority, but I like the scenes between oyaji Nut and Satha so much that I'm willing to fast forward through useless scenes, such as the teachers scene. Nut sees Satha in the same category as his ex Ball, so he doesn't want to even be friends. I wonder how Satha will get him to change his mind. I enjoy watching the girls because their friendships and how they interact. Brings back memories.

I watched it on Netflix. It is a documentary, and one issue is aging in the LGBT community which is often not talked about.

It's sad when parents react like Dew's mother. I would think that it's "normal" for a parent to want their child to be happy. Very sad.

Too bad. I think they have the material for another season, especially now since Dew has reciprocated Best's feelings.

I understand your point, which is true too. I wanted to encourage OP because I took OP's comment literally since there are places in the world where homosexuality is a criminal act, and in others while not illegal, it is socially unacceptable. Some people are terrified of losing their family and community, so they will marry the opposite sex, but others find a way. I watched A Secret Love about a lesbian couple from Canada who got together when being gay was heavily sanctioned. They were not out to their families, but had a 70 year relationship and loving friends. It wasn't perfect, but at least they were able to build a life together.

Not being sarcastic, but I'm sad that you live in a place where gay tragedy is normal. However, even in extremely homophobic places, gay people can be together. Many couples say, they may have to be "best friends" until they graduate university and are financially stable, but they still make it work.

My issue was with the multi-generational homophobia. That's why I'm hoping there's a part 2 for Dew's story so that it can be either put to rest amicably (no promises since they will be far away) or Best changes schools.

Another great episode where both have to confront their collision course between fantasy and reality. Reb's idealistic view of what true love means, and JM's cynical view of the meaning of love after having loved and lost. Hopefully they will be able to meet in the middle and realize that love has great moments and terrible moments. Looking forward to the final episode.

It would be nice if we got "The Dew Story" so that the story could be wrapped up. I guess homophobia does win sometimes in real life.

It's hard to tell because the drama used a studio version during that scene, but they have posted music videos and he sings well in them. However, I haven't heard him sing live.

I hope that Boat does more BL series in the future. He is a very good actor and singer, and seems to be soft spoken and humble in the BTS clips. Asian M/F dramas are too over the top for me, so I don't think that I will watch his other work, but I have enjoyed this series.

Thank you MDL commenters! I'm going to skip this week and watch Eps 11 & 12 together. I don't want to get frustrated with a series that I have enjoyed.

All I'm seeing is hate for the lead and her acting ability. Most of the comments are negative about the series overall. Although I would love to see Dean Fujita act since I love his song History Maker from Yuri!!! On Ice. Am I looking at the right drama?

Maybe they are an inexperienced team, but I agree about the unnecessary scenes, especially since it doesn't seem like there is a second couple to fill in the gaps. They could even have Satha sing songs to fill in some time since he is supposed to be such a fabulous singer that makes people swoon! My concern is they are going to try to jam all of the conflict and resolution into the last episode. Nut's ex seemed angry that Nut left him, but we haven't seen Ball since episode 01. I'm still sticking with it. Love Sick was rocky when it started and I stuck with that series too.

I like the show. The execution has problems but it's rare to see an oyaji story outside of Japan and I'm loving it. Thankfully, Nut and Satha were in the same room together so they can start to get to know one another. I too think that Alice is beautiful, but Nanon can have her. That guy Ball had better stay away.
