On My Day the Series Sep 27, 2020
I really like this series. Yes, there are flaws such as the computers not being turned on and in episode 8, they are at a resort, but the door to the room has a cat door. They seem to have put their money on filming and cast. When a country is launching a new genre, there are hurdles to overcome. Look at Love Sick episode 1, it was so confusing, almost unwatchable and was a mess. Gameboys (which I also liked) did not have the location shooting and large cast that this series does. This story does not have the pandemic to use as a 3rd main character either (so far). The same critiques (cringe, bad acting, etc) were said about Love Sick, and now people are nostalgic when they speak of that series. I think that I can get over the flaws because the story is sweet. Ace feels unloved by his family, but he loves Sky and Sky and his family loves him. I hope this series doesn't have a sad ending, but so far, I think they are doing a great job.

Yes, the only thing that doesnt sit right with me, too, is that he (and In) get told by the adults "You barely…
I agree with In having his rant because he was devastated and In also took accountability for shooting himself too. They omitted that Korn's dad beat him because he said that he wouldn't take over the loan business. They also cut out that In's dad beat Korn right before Korn shot himself. Korn did not defend himself, he took the beating. Not only that, In's mother witnessed everything because she followed her husband to the condo. They also didn't include Dean and Parm in the future (I won't spoil it) and that's why I said they may want to save it for a special episode.

I loved this series but felt let down by the ending, and I thought the ending was the weakest part of the series. While everybody was bashing on Korn, the violent scenes toward Korn were deleted from the show, and those scenes give a better understanding of why Korn made that impulsive decision. The acting and the music were great, and these actors have a long career ahead of them. Maybe they're saving what they left off of the ending for a special episode.

Ok I'm sorry but I don't understand why everyone likes this drama so much. It got boring after like 9 episodes…
I like the series because of the acting, storytelling and music - yes the most hated parts! I think since the story is supernatural, I just go with the flow and buy into the story. I will never get tired or Boy Sompob either. What I don't like is the suicide scene being played over and over and over. I think it's a little unnecessary to keep showing it because anybody who saw episode 1 isn't going to forget what they saw.

I didn't read the novel and didn't realize it was translated to English. In the drama (which may be different from the book) Type asks Tharn to have sex. My guess is that Type thinks that if he does a "one and done", he will stop desiring Tharn, but it doesn't work that way.

I'm thinking that the people are writing thought provoking comments based on their reflections of the series. I don't know if the author set out to think about these topics when she developed her characters.

I understand where you're coming from, but I think this series does a better job of handling sexual assault and victims than other dramas. I think that most viewers are more comfortable with the Tar sexual assault victim prototype, rather than Type. When female characters behave like Type (hating men), they don't get as much criticism. That we are even having a discussion about male sexual assault is unusual because even in the LGBTQ+ male community, sexual assault isn't always discussed. Tharn admits that he was wrong in pushing Type sexually, and Type hasn't really gotten over his sexual assault and internalized homophobia. Also, Type's sexual assault took place in a rural community where "everybody" found out about it. Rural vs urban also has dynamics. While I don't condone the violence and sexual conduct in this drama, I am glad the series has allowed for discussion of topics that are not usually discussed. In the US, a man was sexually assaulted by his ex-girlfriend by machete. The morning DJs during my drive to work joked that the woman must be really ugly if she has to use a machete, instead of empathizing with the male victim. I think that viewers of this series bringing forward thought provoking discussions like this will help change future storytelling.

Okay, started this once then dropped it on the first episode itself because of the homophobia. Rewatched for Tharn…
I understand being annoyed with Type, I was too, and I'm not crazy about all the punching that seems to be in Asian dramas (hetero dramas as well). What I like about this drama, is that both of the leads have flaws and admit them. Tharn admits this to his seniors and Type admits this to his friend. I like that this drama had a character who is experiencing internalized homophobia. A lot of BLs are "gay for you" but according to the author, Type is gay, not bisexual or straight, and seeing him struggle with his internalized homophobia and trying to overcome it is something that I enjoyed watching.

The performances are really good. I watched the Superboy Project competition and they have worked hard to improve. I'm thinking that there will be more opportunities for the cast in the future.

Title Why R U? Spoiler
I didn't watch GMA because I don't like body swap (except for History 1), and I haven't read the WRU book, but…
Thanks for the info. I had a feeling that Fighter wanted to make Tutor happy, now that scene seems even sweeter.

Title Why R U? Spoiler
If you've watched Great Men Academy you may proceed, but if you haven't I recommend you to skip to the other comments…
I didn't watch GMA because I don't like body swap (except for History 1), and I haven't read the WRU book, but my take is that Fighter is one of those people who teases the person he likes. He may not realize it yet, but I think that he likes Tutor, so he teases him. This is why he doesn't pay any attention to Hwa during her birthday party, but makes sure that Tutor takes out the cake. He has no clue what to get Hwa for her birthday, but knows that taking out the cake will make Tutor happy. It's only episode 2 and I may be wrong, but that's my opinion right now.

What types of stories do you like? This has a very heavy first episode.

Title Until We Meet Again Spoiler
Okay...this is just a personal opinion as an International gay man watching this Thai series...This storyline…
I like this show and think the acting is great, but in my opinion, if people don't like it, it doesn't mean they should watch porn. This series is about the slow build of a relationship since Dean and Parm have to spend time discovering that they have been reborn with memories, rather than having dreams and visions. Dean and Parm will eventually get there, so should people drop the series and that point and go watch porn? When (hopefully) Team and Win get a series, it will be sexually hotter, should it be dropped? I mean if they will publicly kiss under broccoli, when they are not an announced couple, what else could they be doing? I understand it is frustrating to ready negative comments about a series, but a lot of us love UWMA too. Maybe we can encourage them to watch and continue to point out the wonderful parts of the series.

I like both shows and both have heartwarming scenes, but you have to kind of believe in reincarnation to accept UWMA. It's difficult to compare a series with supernatural elements to a non-supernatural show. If this series did not have the Korn x In backstory, there wouldn't be the emotional scenes. Also, Mew is a PhD candidate, so he IS a university student, but yes, it's difficult to see him as a 19 year old and even Mew has said this in interviews, which is why he was going to try out for San. However the acting won me over and he will be perfect for 7 years later.

I might be the only one, but I like this show. I think that Bas has grown as an actor because with Toey, he has been a douche, spoiled, funny, caring and sneaky. People wrote they hate Toey and that's his acting skills because Bas seems like a playful and nice person who works hard to take care of his mom and sister. Tae is also doing a good job, especially in episode 10. I'll keep supporting this show, even if there isn't any BL.

Was it a translation error to say Intouch's sister is Dean's grandmother? Because timeline wise that makes no…
It's very confusing because Dean was raised by his father's mother until she passed away, so when they all reference "grandmother," it's easy to confuse which grandmother they are talking about. Intouch and his niece Alin had a close relationship, that's why Pharm reacted so strongly to adult Alin's photo in the hallway when he went to wake Dean up in the previous episode. This story is like puzzle pieces.
