I really like the English version of Getsunova's Fake Protagonist. Off and Gun don't sing in the video but they are in it .

That's too bad because acting is acting regardless of the genre.

I hope that some acting awards are in the future for this cast.

The acting is great. I just watched it subbed and didn't realize they changed the novel version. Khai also kissed Third while he was sleeping and that wasnt cool either. Just as it wasnt Khai's fault that Third secretly loved him, it isn't Third's fault that Khai realized that he has feelings for Third after Third picked up the pieces and moved on. The acting is so good, even from the support characters. Even though I could do without Lin and Paan, I'm enjoying the emotional conflict that is going on with all of the characters.

I like both of these characters and they are both flawed. Third is furious after Khai kisses him again because he thinks that Khai is messing with him again. They both have the same annoying habit of not talking things out with the other person. In real life, if close friends fall out, they do not hang out together, and in real life, the "gang" would probably have gone their separate ways and just remain classmates. I'm waiting to see if the scene with Un is like the novel or if artistic license will be taken, just like adding the M/F couples.

Do you regret it? In Third's case, in real life, it would be tricky being in love with your straight best friend and risk losing the friendship. Most people would just stay silent.

Maybe this is a plot device of the movie Flipped? I haven't seen that movie or any of the others that these characters are inspired by, so I'm not sure. In my opinion, after being "tested" and being called by another person's name while being kissed, I don't blame Third for acting this way. Third is treating Khai like a regular friend now, just like Khai wanted. Since the subtitles haven't come out, as far as I know, Khai still hasn't told Third that he watched the video and talk about his feelings. Instead, he is being typical Khai by trying to treat Third like the women he seduced and dumped in the past. Third is protecting himself by acting like this, because he has been hurt before. Do I hurt for Khai? Yes, but he is acting like Third, having feelings and not talking about them. All that I know is, the actors are doing a really good job in their roles.

When the author got involved in casting, they made it clear the choices will be better, otherwise, they could have just recast Godt and everybody would have been fine. As far as the author goes, when it comes to our children, sometimes parents can't be objective. Her choices are ok, but not spectacular in MY opinion, just as you are entitled to love the new cast. I'm not going to watch the show anymore (I didn't even watch Ep 3) , so it doesn't matter to me, but since you giving your assessment, I wanted to point out the promises of acting improvement made, that did not come through in MY opinion.

You're one of the few of the fandom who will actually engage in a civil debate. If the fans hated Season 1, that's fine, but we were promised more - major improvements in the cast, and it didn't happen (in my opinion). Forth has better chemistry with Yo that Pha, the acting is awkward, but fans are acting like this is an academy award worthy show. People ARE acting like it's a masterpiece, while it's more on par with 2 Moons. That's MY opinion, but I'm not "allowed" that in this fandom. That doesn't mean that I hate the show, but if the fans are toxic, the show is attracting that toxicity, so it is toxic.

I'm not sure if I'm even going to finish the series because of the fandom, since nobody is "allowed" to have an opinion that is critical and you must hate Season 1. I haven't watched Ep 3 yet, but came here to see if things have calmed down, but it's gotten worse.

I agree too. He and New really went for realism when they kissed. You rarely see that in Asian entertainment.

I hate rom-coms and date movies (I haven't seen any of the movies the episode titles are named after), so I can relate to Khai, but I can't help but want Third to get his HEA. Theory of Love is interesting in that one of the leads has to emotionally process falling in love with somebody who is outside of his sexual orientation, especially his best friend. I like that the show gave some screen time to this, rather than just making it a 2 second mention. Also, the acting is really good, especially Gun.

I agree 100%. The actor playing Forth is one of the stronger actors in the cast. When he flirts with Wayo, it's cute, and I want to root for them.

I'm both team Third and team Khai. Up until the "testing" I gave Khai a pass because it wasn't his fault if his male best friend is in love with him. The testing thing was a douche move, but younger people sometimes make those kinds of mistakes when they are confused by somebody else's feelings. His kiss with Third hit him and now he needs time to process his feelings. Third needed to move on 2 years, 11 months ago, but again, I've know people in real life who always get their feelings hurt by the object of their affection but can't cut the line. Third and Khai have some of the best friends in the world, who love them unconditionally. The friendship angle of this series is great.

You might like Waterboyy the series. It's a different type of angst though, not unrequited love. Together with Me, and Together with Me the Next Chapter. People were pissed off with the Next Chapter. You will need to watch Together with Me first though. Bad Romance introduced viewers to the couple, even though they were already a couple and Together with Me is how they got together.

I know this, but the acting is still better. Bas was a new actor, but he wasn't given a pass for his acting skills, he was slammed for it. His being held to a higher standard is one of the inconsistencies,

@Liz - I agree with your statement. Neither version is a masterpiece and I think that Godt's inability to put aside his discomfort with kissing, etc, didn't help the series. I watched the preseason episodes and these actors seem to be nice people who want to do a good job. That's why I'm still watching because I know they are trying. I'm glad that you are connecting with the characters. I think that things will get better when the other couples are the main focus. To be honest, I watch Theory of Love first and that may set me up because the acting is really good on that series. I watch the raws even though I don't speak Thai. Next week I'll watch 2 Moons first and see if it helps.

I'm not going to lie, I miss Copter. I like how he plays tsundere.

People are saying they love it compared to last season, instead just saying they love it and that the acting is so much better, when it isn't. I want this cast to succeed, but it doesn't have to be at the expense of the other actors.

I agree that some BL has bad acting because they cast really young actors who are probably cast mostly for their looks. That's why it was a joy to watch Perth in Love by Chance, who at age 17, gave the role of Ae life, instead of being awkward while acting with Saint.
