The Chinese government censors certain topics in their media. One of then is reincarnation, but there are other like transmigration of bodies, time travel, etc. Depending on the year, thy are more strict, but this is the reason why some dramas are kind of weird especially if you compare them with the novels they're based on. For example, in the novel The Double is based on, the FL changes bodies and that's why novody can recognize her, but in the drama, the same person just pretends to be somebody else.This applies to all dramas, no just historical, but I guess it's easier to bypass this censorship in modern ronantic dramas.

I just ended this and I don't know if I'm being slow or what... but where does the FL come from at the end of the last episode? she sacrificed herself and then she just shows up randomly on a bridge?

I've read that they are dubbed so all characters have the same accent. Actors come from different parts of the country and accents are noticeable and wouldn't make sense depending on the setting. Like having a person with an American accent playing a British guy in the middle ages or something like that. Also it's because when they film there are other things going on on the set. Like for example when they film on those historical/old towns, there is more than one drama recording at the same time. You would be able to hear it or it would be difficult/expensive to get rid of the noise. That's what I read some time ago so could be wrong though.
Better than I expected after reading some reviews and comments. Kind of rough in the beginning, but flows way better in the second episode and once you get used to the dynamics.
