I totally agree. First of all the novel is the biggest hit and full of detailed love stories and drama showcased it amazingly. Yes LYF is in a strong female genre, but in a different level. She is a healer. She tries to unchain herself from her fears, burdens and find love in her journey.
I also agree that there are so many new dramas with strong female leads (Mulan included) which is one of the biggest drives in the film industry.

Me too. LYF is amazing. I’m surprised by Yang Mi’s pace of work this year. She has influence and power in the C drama industry. Where is she? I want good custom drama with high production. For me just Till the End of the Moon and LYF this year.

I don’t like dubbing, but in china they do it because of vast number of mandarin dialects and actors accent. I heard the LYF’s main leads voices are all with no dubbing other than DW who has an accent. I don’t understand Mandarin. But I heard DW talking in a clip. To me it was the same voice as in the drama.

XL will stay in S-2. During the torturing time of waiting for the second season, I will be happy that XY is taken by XL from her wedding ceremony with FL (end of S-1) and hopefully having good time with him.

Actually, it’s not that easy to master it. To me when it comes to XY, CX is a very possessive and jealous person and ZWY portrayed it very well. XL’s is with hate, but his reactions are so unpredictable. On our poor fox, it is so heartbreaking and empathetic. All did it well matching their characters. But I agree…and the Award Goes To CX🥇

You said it all. I can't wait for our girl and in her journey to free herself from fears, burdens and overwhelming obligations. Then make her Own Choices specially in choosing her man of her life and ultimately, choose how to lead their life.
In this drama (novel) we see beautiful love stories from mail sides for a same woman and vice a versa. They may look a bit masculine, still full of feelings and heartbreaks. Amazing journeys!

How about the other effects of XY's blood on him? I wonder other than his needs for her blood, is it one of the connections that makes our demon love her. I may call it bloody, but dreamy love for him. XY has a power of healing body and soul on him.

I like your comments. To clarify, my comments are not against the integrity of the actors or actresses. Just emphasizing on the side effects of creating perfect characters by them and the chemistry between ML and FL in a drama. The Longest Promise” remind me “the Journey of Flower” that I liked. To me the main cast in TLP are too beautiful for their roles with not enough chemistry between them( choosing cast problem). Even if you compare it with “ the Journey of Flower” . So far, on chemistry(my opinion), only YZ and Seven Tan could always bring up enough chemistry with their ML parts and satisfy viewers.

Well XL had his time with XY for more than 50 (almost 100) years ,but at the end Lost it for ever to Jing. Although tragic, but It was his choice and he ended it his way. So it is not all lovesick time for XL.

They are all amazing. And it’s not that easy for them to take the characters (specially for CX and XL) off themselves playing in other dramas unless they just play it with YZ. Many of their fans, like myself, prefer not to see them on romance dramas for sometime. That is what that happened to Xiao Zheng mostly with his new drama “the Longest Promise”. We don’t appreciate him with the drama’s FL, no chemistry felt at all.

When I saw 4MLs for this drama I didn’t like it and thought I’m going to see one of those dramas that will give me headaches. But just the opposite, all the 4 MLs characters are so unique and important that you can even imagine take one out. They all shine next to their love one even FL. This drama brought a new views on casting in a drama. I’m so happy for YZ and her 4 fellow male actors who shined great in this drama. I’m pretty sure that soon all these four actors will be in the A list actors in China.

Well it’s complicated. She likes them all even sometimes at the same time. The four MLs love her in their own way. All I can say is that she is on her journey to find her true love, which she does at the end.

I can’t forgive XL for that. Although they didn’t have close intimacy still they had many precious memorable times together that XY would treasure them. I can’t believe those memories would be fully vanished from XY mind.

I have to say what I can’t handle about XL is when novel readers are talking about XL related memories will be erased by XL himself for XY. How could it be? XY connections with XL are so profound that can’t be erased. Not fair to either XL or XY if happens.

In drama writers have more tools in creating the story. That is the beauty of it. I love it when the novel writer is in charge of the script as well.

All the MLs in this drama are special, but XL is super special. The bad boy all girls want, but not to make family with. TJC created a fantastic image for XL that I can’t even think of any other actor in his place. Everything is in right place even the move of his fingers (like a ballet dancer). Can you come up with someone else’s name?

Don’t worry our Fox is setting up the stage patiently:) our puppy eyes Jing won’t let his love fall in love with anyone but himself. …is our fox the one pairing once for life type? I think Our demon is and even dies for his love. Ooff, and CX ? He has his collection of wives just like toolbox. How can XY even think about intimacy with him.
