She traded her face and became an ugly woman. There are many dramas with similar concept. This one was different and I enjoyed it. Well has some shortcoming, I agree.

In my opinion, the writer introduced a new concept in that I give her a good point for being different.
In the end, it was all about choice and if you could go back in your life where you want to be. So, they chose love over power and immortality, how divine! The baby to me represented hope that is still somewhere kept by precious ones.
I didn't like the look of the lost face FL part. It ruined the empathy and...It could be an ugly version of FL ( burned face and covered partially face woman or so). Also, this part could be a bit fast-forward.
I agree, the drama has more potential and could be produced better, but 7.6 score! Can't be under 8. I start dotting the Mydramalist rating:(

Thank you for your full review. I enjoyed reading it. I would like to add a couple of additional messages of this drama. First on losing memories and if it is a blessing. Life would be easier but meaningless as in the Demon period of ML experience. Memories make us alive and worthy as an individual or...Second, is the notion of choice. What would we choose if we had a chance to go back in our life? Power, Wealth, or Love? I personally couldn't choose between them if not accompanied by peace. Did the drams conclude with Peaceful Love? I choose to say yes. I give this drama high marks also for the precious messages in it!

I watched this drama for the second time. Man, it gave me the chill again, simple story but so touching. It gave me feeling of the same depth of pains as in the “Go ahead” drama. Yang Zi nailed it here. I give the story, acting and directing of this drama very high marks.

Well hard to digest it all at the final...It reminded me a bit of the Ashes of Love ending. With all the wounds and damages on their souls, they rejected all but the simple life with LOVE. What crown would you choose, Power, Wealth, or Love? Let's keep it simple:)

What a tragedy! Everyone in the three worlds wants Phoenix's power for their own benefit even her lover:( She is the only pure selfless one so far that doesn't care about her power. I think no one can kill her because part of her is sealed in the flower in the Demon world. Can anyone tell me if no one can touch the flower (but the Phoenix, according to the Demon God) how come that Kitchen God could steal it? What is her real power and role in this tragedy?

Maybe cold, but innocent for sure. ML has lost part of his memory. If I remember it correctly it is regarding his love for the Phoenix, his wife. Yes something is missing with him, as a result you may call it being cold or reserved. I’m a bit confused why ML call the heavens emperor, father, but at the beginning of the drama ML was introduced as the late heavens emperor’ son. The heavens emperor has some dirty secrets. The show is getting a bit slow now, but I enjoyed it so far:)

Now she is just an ant with empathy for mortals. So now she is only a mortal waiting to ascend with the ultimate power above and beyond all the others. But why they want to kill her? Is she a danger to the Orders of the privileged? is she the Ant? I love it!

I love this well made drama( just rated 8?!) All I like are in it, mystery, action and innocent love( well they are both very smart but innocent). FL feels responsible for her mother still protecting her love/ML. I am expecting the ML (the smart guy!) has plan to protect his love/FL as well.
