It’s weird how people are so passionate about disliking this show and be after the ones who like it. Like I…
I totally agree with this one. Honestly, I won't ever say that this show is a masterpiece, it's okay for me. But I can totally get how someone can enjoy it because it's still a cute story. So, really, you really described my feelings about some comments here, thank you!
I am so happy to see it’s a s2 … just started yesterday this absolutely masterpiece s1 and I nearly could…
I watched it back then, so I can say I'm just as happy to see a season 2! The first season was so, so, so amazing! Really hope for a release on viki as well!
Oh heck yes! *adds to list*IDRM if it's only loosely connected to Marry My Dead Body (some connection is nice…
Yes! The humour was so good in the movie and the teaser so far has the same charme as the trailer for MMDB back then (at least for me)! I really hope to see some connection tho! Maybe we can see some more of this really cute dynamic between Wu Ming Han and Mao Mao's family that was shown in the movie ending?
GG Precinct teaserhttps://youtu.be/l4I8rsHwipcAs expected it's a sequel that's so divorced from the movie, it…
Maybe I'm just staying too positive but I don't think that we should say it's totally seperate from the movie. It's just a teaser so far, I guess Netflix wants to show the main aspect there and that would be the investigation part of course.
So, according to Moviepilot (German website) this most likely be a sequel. The description there says "After [...] Wu Ming-han says goodbye to his ghost husband, he now has to investigate and solve strange cases [...]" I really hope to see an official description on the Netflix site soon!
Honestly, talking about the production quality, this series is just not it. Quite a let-down considering all the good series GMMTV produced in the past years. Still, I have to say I enjoy it. It's cute, the story is simple enough to just "turn off" your thoughts for a bit. I just see it as a more young teenage friendly. And I think that's something we need at times. So, as of now, I will probably give it a 7/10 (this can obviously change deoending on future episodes). Not bad but we've seen better for sure, I just don't get why so many people in these comments behave like this has been the worst series ever made lol
I just wanna remind people that there's an epilogue episode, it has it's own page on here and it's not on Netflix but you can find it on Viki! I think it's quite important to watch that one as well!
It seems like they are going to change bits of the story (in the manga) for the next episode, doesn't it? The preview for ep 4 makes it seem like that?
I really liked the message of this series. For me, learning how to be true to yourself is certainly the main focus. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed that this whole "mistery" of saying whatever comes to mind wasn't explored that much, I really expected it to be a bigger part of the story considering the synopsis. I'm pretty sure that's one of the reasons so many got disappointed with the later episodes.
It’s not about feeling only but eveything is downgraded in Thai version esp depth & connection b/n characters.I…
I don't think the series has been running for long enough to say much about the connection between the characters (that's at least the case for me).
As I said, it's not a masterpiece but it's still enjoyable for me. BUT I can also see that my standards and expectations might not be as high as for some other people, so I can see how it's a let-down for some.
I watched the japanese version and I am watching this version too.
Honestly, I don't see why people (mostly the ones who watched the japanese version as well) seem to hate everything about this show. I don't think that it's an absolute masterpiece but it's a good (so far lighthearted) show that I can enjoy a lot. Comparing the versions happens naturally of course but come on, we can't expect it to be the exact same.
Also, a good point for me are the changes to fit thai culture, it's a nice touch. So, to everyone who isn't sure if they should start it: if you don't expect a series that has the same feel as the japanese adaptation, go for it. Otherwise, you might be disappointed.
The quality of the pilot is crazy good! I hope they are able to keep that up for the series itself, so far it looks like it has a lot of potential (especially for a first series)!
The vibe is quite different to the japanese version but I'm actually really glad it is (I loved the japanese version but I want to see a different approach to this story).
It's been a really good first episode for me and I'm looking forward to the next episode!
There hasn't been revealed much yet but so far it says the sequel "boasts more mind-boggling crimes and side-splitting moments this time" (quoted this from the page I referred to a few comments back)
Honestly, this drama might not be perfect but it's still a (very) good drama! Also, I'm glad to see a GL with a school setting. The youthful, wholesome story made up for the flaws this drama has. So, I think 23.5 was a great start for GL series by GMMTV!
I really hope to see some connection tho! Maybe we can see some more of this really cute dynamic between Wu Ming Han and Mao Mao's family that was shown in the movie ending?
