As i was writing a comment something suddenly came to mind about the ancestors thing as it regards to DM, but before i dive into it, a disclaimer: i don't think this is how the author will address it.
So, "ask your ancestor" is the hint.
DM father was arguably the most important figure in DM life, but he didn't left much for her aside of the great memories, except for one thing his legacy left: sandbox.
If by asking her ancestors DM will find the answer, then the last thing her most important ancestor left should be a key to this process: a idea.
Sandbox is the legacy of a ancestor, and the idea behind sandbox is even more important than the enterprise itself: something to be there when one falls.
Or rather: someone to call when thing's get tough.
HJP was always easing the fall for DM. Whether grounding her in reality, offering himself to literally be her sandbox (through plan B) or easing the blow of a divorce and estranged sister with a pen pal: he was always making sure she had something to fall on it. Same as his father was there to build the sandbox, so it was HJP to make sure she didn't got hurt on the multiple inevitable falls of her life (by his own words he was going to make sure she didn't get hurt if she were to fall).
Should we make a list of things DM Doesn't know about HJP? I start: 1- How much he actually loves grandma. 2- Why he loves grandma. 3- Who hinted at the true story behind the swing girl to the CEO woman. 4- The context behind the letters. 5- When they first met (hint: it was not through the letters) Am i missing something? Maybe we should do one for the list of things HJP done that virtually nobody in this damn show is grateful for.
Your comments on the difference between preview and ep are intriguing... I would go back to take a look myself…
I really hope this to be addressed on tommorow's episode or else it's a big mistake on various fronts but especially a disrespect to the audience. Like, mess up the plot as much as you want...just don't lead people on

A comment below me pointed out something in the preview that it actually passed me by (as i am on skippy mode). Can someone who watched the entire episode confirm for me? It's true that the dialogue of the preview for this episode: "three years is a long time, it's enough for a relationship to change" is nowhere to be found in this ep?
Crazy how the show paints Tarzan story as something otherworldly poetic, wich is not the case here and i can prove only half of JP plot can be more poetic, watch me: There's was once a lonely man with a spoiled childhood, who found out what seemed to be a long lost pen friend. He watches closely as she grows, nurturing her from afar without ever claiming any credits from it, despite never being known, he doesn't feel alone anymore. His days are now filled with meaning and before he can realizes, he falls in love with her, but his selflessness comes back to reap it's due sow's as she falls in love with someone else... without him, this guy would never have a chance, and because of him, this guy was now in between his happiness. It's was unjust another guy was building over this affection but for him her happiness mattered the most, even more than his own. Not being able to spoil her smile, he gives up: she would go on to marry, build a family and live a happy life. He would go on to watch it without ever being able to tell her how much loved she was...alone he started, alone he ended. Yet, his live was not meaningless, as he lived vicariously through the happiness of the one he loved the most till the very end.
See author? It shouldn't be that hard if even my humble self can do it.
This had so much potential: the mending of a family relationship, the redemption and ability to forgive, the blurry line between truth and lie... how good intentions can be different of good deeds, how love is often selfless, the risky world of entrepreneurship. Yet all we got is...this? I feel like the author had a good bout of grandiosity in the begining of the creative process that didn't aged quite well as her abilities weren't ready to explore and expand on it.
Just logged in to give this drama a solid 5 rating (maybe no more than a 6). This might change (tho i doubt it) but as of now i am not coming anywhere near the works of this author in the future. No amount of good effects and production can make up for plain bad writing... it's a shame but i guess we all have some things we are not so very proud of it. If i were the screenwriter tho, i would pretend i never did this just in case: "Start up was..." "Start up who?"
Listen...i respect your opinion but most of the audience, even the Korean one are all praising HJP as a character. If you want to tell the majority of the viewers they are just biased and not seeing things right go ahead but just know you are the minority here and therefore your point should be stronger than "he told SDM she is worthless as a person and doesn't offer anything, hence laid off" wich is so conveniently a LIE and actually shows who is the biased one. Here's what actually happened: HJP told DM the truth wich they asked him to do it despite he clearly showing he was hurting and feeling guilty... he said NOTHING about DM as a person, rather, he said a fact: in this business deal you are merely a pawn. If even after DM herself thanked him for speaking the TRUTH you still have a problem with that scene then it's on you.
Anyone care to guess what the plot twist by the end will be? Someone mentioned Kim Seon Ho saying there will be a twist in the end, of course i think this can indeed get worse so no expectations whatsoever. Just curious...
