For a moment there i hesitated to post as i thought NDS fans would misconstruct or misunderstand what i said. But alas... it's a take or ignore advice i guess.

All shipping dramas aside, to any younger girl reading this (even adults for that matter): if your boyfriend has trouble to manage his anger, and seem to let it build up to sometimes explode. Back the fcking off! If his world revolves around you and the solely thing he thinks is you: back the fcking off! If he leaves you alone and drunk in the middle of the night, or leaves any other woman in a similar situation: be wary. If he plays a role to get into your heart and you realize that is the case: demand to see the real him, and think it thoroughly if you like what you see without letting your feelings clog your judgment. Love NDS to your hearts content, but remember this is fiction and in real life all these behaviors are either a big red flag or something that can turn into one.

No, there's was no "him of 15 years ago that DM knew" therefore he couldn't be talking about himself, it doesn't matter what scene follows because DM didn't knew him 15 years ago (she was nowhere to be found in that childhood), the only thing about him that DM knew was his name. There was someone DM did knew 15 years ago tho: HJP or rather the author of the letters. The "is a brother" was said to prevent DM from asking HJP about his motives, since he was afraid HJP would tell the truth and drive DM away...him previously saying "you can ask me" line in a nervous way after seeing DM looking for HJP gives context to why he lied and since you asked things that were either bad or damaging for HJP this was one of them. The Han river view is literally comparing where he started to where he "thinks" HJP started (Wich its his home with a view of the ran hiver) and not only that but totally shitting on HJP achievement's wich we know were huge given where he actually started and conveniently assuming HJP life was always that way. I mean no offense, but go back and watch those scenes again...if after that you opinion remains the same than we can agree to disagree.

All those are DS lines: "I wish you didn't knew me back then (15 years ago), i was a jerk" - "You can ask me (about him)" - "He is my brother" - "This is where i starded, not in a place with a view of ran hiver (if only HJP had truly started in a good place, and not as a homeless orphan thrown out like leftovers to fend for himself)" - "What can 15 year old latters do (ironic much?)" - "let's erase the past"...

Okay, i will have to respectfully disagree here: HJP motivation for lying was clearly implicit in the fact he knew DM didn't wanted anyone to see her crying, especially NDS. He stops NDS in order to keep him away from a DM that outright told him she felt humiliated by NDS presence in such a bad moment, that's why he say: "You can't see her **NOW**". He immediately realizes although his lie prevented NDS from seeing DM he may have actually made things worse for DM herself (wich by this time was clearly showing her feelings for DS in front of him) that's why he calls to make sure DM knows it and also why he says: "you can still catch up to him" as in "i think i messed up your relationship with DS, i am sorry... you can still fix it". Also: DM has gave HJP every reason under the sun to doubt her feelings for him... given the way the drama has unfold so far, his hesitation not only makes sense but it's the only reaction he could have.

I saw people raising hashtags for HJP being manipulative because of the preview for this episode in the past week. Gave a good ole chuckle with this episode when we saw why he actually lied lol

So the show basically spoiled your first ship and gave a second ship wich it will not sail? R.I.P

There was some cues in this episode favoring DS, like the noodles wich we have been theorizing in favor of a Jidal endgame and the swinging girl. But we can always twist those too: Jidal actually eat their noodles, meanwhile (if i am remember correctly) Dodal didn't. I do agree with you tho: i don't quite get where the author is going with those cues.

By the way, this is not my realization at all... There's actually a great analysis in reddit about what Yeongsil meant when he says: "two outs in the bottom of the nine and a full count" and a "a good ball is coming your way". The baseball analogy that comes before the good ball comment refers to either a win or a loss, if he can hit a home run he won the game, if he can't it's a lost game. In this context, a good ball coming his way means a good chance of hitting a home run if he does decide to swing the bat at the key moment (the good ball being something that should favour him as in this baseball game he is the one with the bat). That's why i don't think this key moment has come yet since NDS coming from the US didn't favoured his chances of hitting a home run, in fact it made his chances worse since DM is now with DS in her mind.

The reasonable part of me says: those were definitely there to misslead the audience.

The clown in me says: those were too many and too obvious to not be relevant for the endgame.

I think it's a hed herring the same way "i think i have right" was...we all thought he was going to lie in order to get a unfair advantage, yet he lied in order to make sure DS didn't saw DM crying and opened up to DM right after. Regardless of whether i am right or wrong those previews have been highly misleading, purposefully edited to NOT give away the plot and i have striked out so many times with my predictions that i don't even bother trying anymore lol
