From what I read. Jimmy lin version is better in balancing the romance for both leads....for one...she doesn't show up at ep 33 and the character isn't crazy....didn't realize the novel was so crazy lol

Everything clicks with us differently. I like both couples. Great supporting cast.
There is plenty of drama I watch and I end up liking and finishing up for the 2nd couple. That doesn't mean the lead couple sucks.....they just didn't click with me and capture my heart.

Their cliche isn't soo horrible..I don't find that it's too much either. .I wasn't sure if they can make it with more of a storyand they were able to still keep me entertained. I feel the characters interactions keeps me going.

They all not a huge difference. Xu feng is arrogant and entitled. Run ya actions doesn't make him any better with his manipulations. He also felt he should have that.
The brother actually have a good relationship but his mom is Cersei like GOT.
Xu feng didn't care for that title and didn't mind sharing.
Moon God is a god. They are all Gods. They have the wheel of fortunate and manipulates ppl live. Moon is cupid...his job is to pair up ppl he see is a good pairing.

It also depends how you as a person click with a drama. If you click with the drama.... you are more tolerant and endure it better.
I would like a any drama where there is less annoying and meddling parents/family in general.
For noona romance. I enjoyed I need romance 3....they address the age gap but it wasn't this crazy main theme. Although the supporting cast wasn't that interesting

Neither is www search....they portray 3 powerful working women and a great supporting characters. The tears and triumph of the cut throat work force. Different ideas and how they learn and grew from each other. It was not all about romance. I know if I was feeling exhausted with the age gap issues here which spent less time on it. I know I can't handle 44 ep with a love triangle and insecurities.
At the end we all crave that romance aspect as well. I'm not writing this drama off but I will wait for it to end and skim over when it gets too angsty ...dragging middle.

He was 28 and she was 38. I like them together....but again 12 ep end and I'm already exhausted.

That is still long. I just recently watch search WWW. Also a noona romance. She got issues with the age differences and is scared...ect. they went back and forth and talked it out like adults but by the 3rd time....they "talked" about the differences in a mature realistic way.....I was already sick and tired of it and want them to break up and take a breather. I was exhausted from their exchanges. Granted they both taught each other something and grew from it. It's on 16 ep. So total maybe 17 hrs. The main leads had great chemistry and I like that they address they issues but it began to beat a dead horse. I wish they stopped it at ep 11 and then had her chasing her insecurities away and chase after him a little more but that didn't happen until the last ep of course.
It was stilled an enjoyable series. I won't be able to take 26 hrs of it though. There was no stupid love triangle which is great.

Ruby lin character was fine. Didn't flip flop but the age gap was a contingent of her hesitations & his parents and her sister...n society.
In China a single women over 27 Is consider a left over women.
