It seems that KJ is going to be carrying around a lot of guilt with respect to his mom. He already feels that he is a bad son, and to some degree, he has been. If this was a more realistic series, would he and Darim be able to live happily after all that transpire?

He said a few that her family are thieves and even questioned Darim on her ethics when he asked her if she understood that taking something that doesn’t belong to you is stealing.

Wouldn’t it be normal for him to eventually resent her, specially if the relationship with his mom becomes strained?

She spent more than that plus they are responsible for the $3 billion.
I think is their behavior and nastiness that makes it hard to feel too much sympathy for them.

Not sure I fallow all but I think we can all have different perspectives and favorite characters. However, Taewoong actually worked for them and got paid. I remember this as one time the mother told him she would be a little late in paying him.

No, he was a nobody before he met KJ mom, remember the mom said that when she kicked him out of bed? Also, the chairman had acknowledged that he married them for the money and got, at least a loan from her father to start the business.

Although, keep watching because Murin may be the only decent one in that family.

TU character is just the epitome of stupidity. What useless character! The two-face lier who has been living it in the mansion is now trying to be all caveman by punching Murin. Like he now cares more for the mother than the son does. What a pathetic loser. Had he been honest and willing to share his wealth with his adoptive family, maybe they wouldn’t have stolen so much.

Why is KJ still calling that son of a bitch chairman father. Dude, he is not your father and never was . He used your mom for her money. He never treated you like a son.
You should be supporting your mom not that bunch of nasty thieves, who very much deserve to be in jail.

He is a detective so he would have a regular looking with recording. Not sure why his personal card would have a recording. Have this been stablished that it was his personal card?

Crazy thing because I don’t love Charim, but in last episodes I feel she and KJ make a interesting couple, like a hate to love thing. They are both talented, smart, and hard working. They have , at least the fashion thing in common.

I’m conflicted because I know KJ is a nice character and also in love. You do crazy things when you are blindly in love. But I do agree that there is some betrayal of his mom. Ultimately, his mom is his only family and the only person that has been on his side all alone. In truth, Darin’s family are a trio of criminals and not very nice people to go so deep to save them. Not to mention, they have never been good or even respectful to KJ. In some ways Darim is taking advantage of KJ to save her unworthy family.

What is Darim contributing to KJ company? Her sister, at least, is a talented designer, but Darim seems to just get in the way. Exactly, what does KJ see in Darim?

Desperate, you take what you need. No they dig the money and didn’t stop at $800 mil but all. Also, I believe the grandparents are a bit ignorant, but are they that ignorant as to believe that the thug they saw burying the was the owner?

She has proof, the car recording with Murin and, I believe, it was a police department car. Therefore, not illegally accessed.

Ok, I’ll star from the end. Agree, Darin is annoying and not strong, interesting lead. But, she suffered for 8 years? Seriously? What did she expect after offering him free sex? Also, 8 years is a long time to be pinning for a crash.

Chairman, TW bad, selfish people. Grandparents, Bong Hawi, ignorant, criminals and not nice. Sorry but it’s a crime irrespective of why.

Most police departments would not spend time and resources investigating $1k stolen, which is what was initially reported as lost. $10mil is a difference animal and she is right to take over because Murim, for obvious reasons, should not be involved, but also he should not beprosecuted, because he did nothing wrong.

Yeah, I stopped for a while and cought up by skipping the boring parts, like the grandparents. However, it’s quite addictive otherwise, and we are all hoping to see KJ succeed and the bad people crashing.

That’s our protagonist, so sweet and loving that we feel with him. We love those that treat him well and hate those that hurt him.
Kudos to the actor for doing such great job in bringing KJ to life and for making him so endearing.
I understand the actor is nominated for some award for this role and I truly hope he wins.

@terestarr, I am not sure if you meant that you liked the relationship of KJ and his stepfather. For me, their relationship always felt one sided and stressful to watch. I don’t see how that can be repaired now. In truth, the chairman was very cruel to KJ. We have been wondering who the main villain was, and it seems to be the chairman.
As for TU, the way he just switched sides with KJ with little consideration or empathy towards KJ, make him very hard to like or to sympathize with

I hope KJ mom doesn’t end up with the chairman. The chairman and his son should end alone. He was a horrific stepfather, who treated KJ as a servant while living in their house and becoming rich with their money.

It was noted that every time the chairman took a ride to work with KJ, he sat in the back seat while KJ drove, treating KJ as his driver. Not much conversation either. With his son, he sits in the front and very chatty.

I guess KJ was too nice and decent and he couldn’t relate to that, On the other hand , he can definitely relate to his son who is cold and selfish like him. They seem to have a lot in common.

Happy to see KJ standing up to him and hope he finally realizes that he is better off without that man in his life.
