Well looking at the comments on douyin, weibo and billibilli, the only reason why people are watching the show is because of the main couple. I think many people agree, even before the show aired, that the director and screenwriter sucks. Along with a producer who doesn't know what she is doing this was a recipe for disaster, the whole production should really thank the leading actors as they are the only reason the show got this much popularity. But yeah the first thing antis will attack is also the leading actors, as those are the people with the most attention. I am praying that a miracle happens and the last few eps just focus on the main characters (highly unlikely) so that it ends on a good note.

I honestly don't mind since I enjoyed both aasol and tpr. As long as she is happy with her career I am ok, I end up enjoying any drama she is in anyway. Even though cherry amber is idol drama, it is a bit more serious since it is a daylight production, so I am looking forward to that.

I think it depends on how successful drifting away is. Stand by me is respected by the cnetz, but it wasn't that popular, whereas her recent idol dramas aasol and tpr are not respected but they are popular. If drifting away is as successful as reset, she might do more.
