The story is very interesting but the romance is quite slow. Its weird because I'm not feeling a sense of cp even though Bai Lu and Zhang Ling He are dating in real life. Maybe the romance will pick up in the coming episodes.

Damn, Bail Lu is so popular I never expected people to attack her. If they attacked Bai Lu, they most likely would attack Zhao Lusi as well if she acted with him. I hope not because Zhao Lusi already gets attacked by haters.

Oh....sorry I didn't know. I assumed someone dubbed him because he always gets dubbed in his previous dramas. But still his voice does sound kinda weird, maybe he has a different accent I'm not sure.

can i watch this even if i didn't watch the prequel? or i should watch the prequel?
You don't have to watch the prequel because this is a standalone story with different characters. There might be a few easter eggs, but I don't think it's necessary to watch the prequel if you don't want to. But I do highly recommend watching ancient love poetry because it's an amazing show!

I watched the trailer because I really like Zhao Lusi. But the ML...I don't know because I have never watched his dramas before but in the trailer, his acting looked really stiff. I'm a bit worried about the show.
