MDL ratings don't make sense to me, this is my first time joining any drama community even though have been watching kdramas since 2007 so don't know if this is normal ?? Why is this one's rating 8.5 and misrepresentative psychopathic disorder drama got 9.1. Anyway, once in a while, I get nostalgic about this drama. I remember how each character had so much mental strength in them. Strength to forgive, love, fight, try to love again in dead marriage. Ordinary people, no flashy clothing but they shine brighter.
I haven't seen any of her recent works, my earliest kdrama were all with her as a lead, look at how far she have come. I believe it's a good decision she moved from rom-com to other genres, Happy Birthday.
At first, his looks didn't catch my eyes much, but gradually, by one more drama, he transformed into someone mesmerizing. His eyes and his voice are extraordinary, pulls you in.
I am having a hard time with this drama. I finally got around to watching it despite my misgivings. While I like Jo jong suk, I knew this would be another Tsudere, cold jerk character portrayal from him. Then I started the drama, first 2 episodes not bad. But I thought the possession by ghost would be something like the ghost whisper in her ear to be bold, aggressive, take charge , still her own sense would prevail over ghost or sometimes they would switch characters. Nope. the fact is it looks like ghost completely took over and we are watching relationship unfold between ghost and ML. THIS IS NOT OKAY WITH ME. And if this continues until the end, then NOT OKAY AT ALL. I am not being able to watch further but can't drop either so feeling bothered :(
Every few days I would play the soundtrack "Devotion" from this drama and feel all the nostalgia rushing back to me. Then I come here to see if the rating improved but of course not. Why do I even expect that to happen in this website.
I don't usually respond to comments that seem like trolling or bot, but I am little confused so thought to ask anyway. And also because I appreciate the jang geun suk profile photo. What part of my comment made you think I am angry or hurt , what does that have to do with you either way.
Again, another list, similar outcome. How can one drama in 2020, one in 2015( heavily criticized storyline) be considered as outstanding last 3 drama for an actor and merit top3 ?????? seriously, come on. Compared to park seo jun even. If the top of the list changes, I am gonna flip out.
I need to get myself out of this limbo that I have been stuck for past 3 years, to get ready to see him acting against other actresses. I am fascinated by him, still avoided all his dramas since weightlifting fairy kim bok joo. Because I can't get over their chemistry. I can't bring myself to watch him with others yet :(
People vote for the show cause it’s really good not because KSHis the ml. I voted for it cause it’s good not…
Thanks for your reply, I agree with your points and feel I should be more understanding. Part of my frustration comes from the fact that same tropes being used multiple times and popular attractive characters get kdramas more viewers. I primarily watch US tv series that is different in that aspect. I took out my frustration and guess become biased in a way too. If not for the plot, then for the acting I would finish it, to appreciate their hard work. Flower of evil depicts psychopathy, sociopathy more accurately, has popular characters but underrated because it doesn't have kdrama troupes. Lee min ho dramas repulse me for same reason. I also wish more dramas deal with uglier and scarier mental illness like schizophrenia, depression where people can't even function like a human. It's okay that's love did it and that's why it was my favorite. Broke my heart. Others criminally underrated dramas would be "secret love affair"," when camelia blooms".

I haven't been able to finish it, will finish it just so I can say I finished at least one of his dramas. He is good actor no doubt, but this drama compared to most other dramas in the list doesn't deliver anything new to me, heck even outside of this list. "it's okay that's love" tackled far more uglier and realistic sides of mental illness, not a neurotic form of psychopathy that have been redone over and over again since "fatal attractions" became famous. Unfortunately, that drama didn't have idol looking MCs to attract fans. Reading the synopsis made me assume few stuff which was exactly how I imagined. The kind of psychotic behavior(so not true, flower of evil did better job) so common and taken frompopular movies were one. childrens book author displays crazy behavior and manager throws measly cash to hush people, in this crazy world of social media there is no peep about it. Parental trauma causing psychopathy, again a cop out in terms of plot, so many interesting possibilites. Mental illness that doesn't take away beauty or style, unlike depression, anxiety and schizophrenia , that rots you from inside. A good guy that unconditionally loves the FL with emotional eyes, not new either. Depicting frustration repeatedly would make sense, accepting it means he sees her more as patient. The list can go on and on.
P.S- I teased crazy biased fans, if you are not biased then you shouldn't take offense on my words.
