Yan Quici wasn't right to kill Lu Ping's parents but if he didn't do so there would be no story at all or at least no interesting plot... and no friendship put into test or trial

Lu Ping didn't know his parents but he knows Xifan and entrusts him because he is loyal. They are kind of soul mates. Don't judge a book by his cover. Real and deep friendship is hard to find so you have to treasure it. If I appreciate someone, I won't judge him because of his background. Do you really think that one's parents crime has to be paid by the offspring ? I don't. Forgiveness and clear judgement are better values.

Hello, your review is quite interesting but this is just a drama...
What is right, what is wrong, what is fair or not always depends from one's point of view and values. IRL, good values are necessary but they don't garantee success nor happiness.
I rated this drama 8/10 because action was there and storyline flaws and nonsenses didn't stop me from watching it. You did the same ! I am sure everyone who watched this drama could value the rubbish there was in it and made his own opinion.
There were also good values in it : Xifan and Lu Ping relationship is just amazing and above everything, don't you think so ?
