Im still thinking - how is GYJ falling short of JSM? The difference I can find is the provincial accent. So are they expecting new Naksu to speak in accent too? I mean, for a rookie actress, GYJ is doing great. For every scene that she's in, she captures the emotions needed for that scene, nothing more or less.

I feel you. Lets see if the writers have something in store for her until ep10. Maybe she was a reincarnation of Jin Seol Ran. Maybe she'll miraculously appear again. Haha.

We may also see at the brighter side:
- About being blind, lets consider it as a gift. I cant imagine how current JBY's sight when she can see everything during the day while also seeing bright light (energy) amongst people. Thats like staring at multiple bulbs.
- And, she had two moms who very much loved her. She didnt have to endure the pain of a tracking thread, be imprisoned by your own so-called "mother", or being denied of your own memories.

I know some may be complaining about Jang Uk's black robe uniform since episode 1. But I find it hot everytime he walks while his robe is flowing. Every path he took was like his runway.

So LJW surely can create chemistry even with pile of rocks, but he also can magically transform every path into a fashion runway--be it a downhill path, just walking out of a room or hiding behind a tree. 😁

I hope you give S1 a chance to view in full. I followed it because of Jang Uk's growth as a mage, the secrets, the suspense and lots of comedies. Romance was just a plus for me. 😊

I saw a clip before that it will happen - JBY will remember herself killing Jang Uk. She was at front of the big tree and JU was comforting him. Though I might have interpreted it incorrectly.

Seems like it was not mentioned. Jin U Tak was surely the biological father of Jin Cho Yeon. But Jin U Tak explicitly said JBY is not his daughter to So-i. That action of replacing JBY with a fake daughter is not an act of a biological father.

Mama Jin only fell in love with Jin U Tak when he was offering a clip with a warm smile to Mama Jin to put on JBY as a child, fixing her hair.

Though he may also be the father of JBY but he's in denial because of his jealousy of Jang Gang.

I see the parallelism is much needed for Part 2 so we could slowly have the transition in Naksu's character from Part 1 to Part 2 and still root for Naksu despite the change in face. Otherwise, it would feel so abrupt and it's like forcing the audience to swallow the new but not so new character. It's not repetition.

Lets take the case of the Queen. We know that the original Queen's soul is both present in Parts 1 and 2, but didnt show any parallelism (I understand that she's just a supporting character so less screen time). The point is that it seems like there's no connection from Part 1. Seeing the Queen acting like that felt like she's a totally different person. I cannot sympathize with her dilemma. I was expecting that she was a warm-hearted person just like his son, the CP, but no. She's just frustrated all the time. She doesnt have any interaction with his own son. I cannot feel that she's the original queen prior to the soul shifting with Shaman Choi.

So I salute how the writers and the directors handle the transition for our leads. 😊

It's just bothering me though since Jang Uk said "I couldnt cry. It felt like I was really abandoning you there..." with Mudeok in mind. So it seems he still doesnt know yet that JBY = Mudeok.

I'm also agreeing to ur theory. During the fireflies scene, when JBY was walking down and had to stop to fix her shoes and JU was looking out, the background music was playing with the lyrics "I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." It seems to me he figured out somehow and he's sorry for acting that way and could not do anything for her during those 3 yrs.

But could also be that he's just guilty for yelling at her like that regardless whether she's Naksu or not.

Same here. Jang Uk doing all the action from the background to care for JBY without her knowing is just so heartwarming. I prefer a man of action than words.

Yes, hearing those curses might helped JU realized some things. His aura was really different when they were conversing about her dress-fitting and nails.
