do you have to watch the 1st season to understand the second?? I want to watch this but the 1st season seems a…
I think yes, you should see 1st season. There were too many details that were discussed previously to understand Part 2. I was also hesitant to watch part 1 before since 20 episodes were already long for me, but I enjoyed the ride since I enjoyed everything in it.

I have a question.. not sure if I just missed it being mentioned in the drama.. How do they decide who would take…
I think it's more of a family custom. Seems like Daeho still follow patriarchal society with the exception of Jin Family where the matriarch is the leader. The first leader of Jin family, Jin Seol Ran, was a female. Hence, that was passed down. The eldest daughter should stay in the family while the younger sisters can leave if they married. In case of Cho Yeon in Part 1, since Bu Yeon was still missing (hence Cho Yeon was next in line matriarch), Danggu agreed to marry into the Jin family and Park Jin was frustrated since Danggu is the heir of Songrim.

Since Jang Uk had a bad blood with Jinyowon, no way he would agree to stay in that family. Thats also why Naksu needs someone who can defy Mama Jin to break the custom for her.

In season 1 Jang Kang abandoned Jang uk because he was born when the king was in his body... This means the show…
Huh? The body that was retrieved from the lake was Buyeon's aka Mudeok. It was petrified. Master Lee restored it using Naksu's energy. Naksu's soul survived in it. So the body now took the form of the soul inside it when it was healing. The blood in the body is Buyeon's.

Jang Uk was considered as the king's son, but he still inherited Jang Gang's magical powers. The king back then…
You have a point about the crown prince. :) Im also looking at this perspective -- theres also no proof that the current king cant cast a spell. I know that theres no instance that the king uses magic, but it also doesnt mean he cant. It's the current king who even bestowed Jang Gang's magical sword (mentioned in ep19 from Part 1).

Unlike before, it was explicitly shown that the past king didnt have any magic.

It's not contradicting. Jang Uk was considered the king's son because of the soul, but he also inherited the magical powers of being a Jang (body). The king back then didnt have any magical power. So it's also logical that the child of Naksu will inherit Jin family's powers since it's Buyeon's body.
Rewatched episode 1, I didnt realize that Mama Jin already gave us the hint regarding the mystery on Naksu when Cho Yeon was asking her mother why is she being cruel. Mama Jin said:

"She is Buyeon. The original soul was already dead when we retrieved the body from the lake 3 yrs ago. That body belongs to my daughter, Jin Buyeon."

Why have I not caught on this?! šŸ˜‚ This statement is exactly is! It was already explained right at episode 1. Haha. Buyeon's soul was already dead, or almost dead. Buyeon's body survived, but not until episode 2 that they explained it is Naksu's soul who survived in terms of soul.

Are they really married now? I mean with just one drink, this marriage is even approved and valid?
In watching sageuk dramas before, the only thing they do in wedding ceremonies are bowing down and drinking alcohol. šŸ˜‚

So where's jang uks fathers sword now? Does jin mu have it?
From episode 19 of part 1, things of Jang Gang including the sword were supposed to be returned to the king but the king said Songrim could keep 'em. So I guess it's still in Songrim. Though I might be wrong.

i was so desperately waiting for season two but I just don't know why I can't love it the way I loved the previous…
Jang Uk was considered as the king's son, but he still inherited Jang Gang's magical powers. The king back then didnt have any magical powers. Jang Uk had the birthright of becoming a prince, yet he also has the power of being a Jang. His powers were just locked by Jang Gang when he was a baby.

Yul remembers Naksu as a teen only. So he has a strange impression that she has something of someone he used to…
Naksu's eyebrows were darker before. Like it made all the difference. Lol! šŸ˜‚

Anyway, Yul did see her for a brief moment, even I could not remember a face I saw briefly in asking directions.

Some people are bragging that the second season is great, since October, the same group of people, bragging all…
If u hate it that much, i wonder why are you monitoring the viewerships, comments and people posting here?

It's definitely Naksu. The sword that Jang Uk's using (technically Naksu's sword) recognized where Naksu is, hence, the barrier in the annex was opened when Jang Uk struck the soul shifter. But, Buyeon is also still merged with Naksu in Naksu's body. Maybe, just maybe, thats why Jin family locked her up until they can find how to separate Buyeon's soul from Naksu's. Maybe, Seo family has a solution to this problem thats why they are marrying her off in exchange.
