I just started this one. A few complaints on Ep1-2: 1. There's an emergency patient waiting to be carried into the ambulance and yet, the Dr. Cha was giving slow, vague instructions/explanations as if theres no emergency! And the leads were staring at each other?! If that happens in real life, I'll smack both of them. 2. Whenever Si Young was trying to chase Dr. Cha, why cant she call out his name aloud so he could hear and face her?! Was she a marathoner or something?! Oh, well, I just dont understand the logic. The premise is good, but I just want to rant about how the scenes were directed. I will still give it a chance and continue.
Ok, so I just finished it and I have a couple of thoughts, while I absolutely loved this season there were a few…
Cho Beom Pal - it didnt show that he was attacked..maybe he was late running to the lake because he was too clumsy. That's the signature of his role. The last time he was shown prior to the lake battle was when he almost fell off the roof, but the gunner dude (Yeong Shin) saved him (as I remember).
Jun Ji Hyun as the matured queen - You could be right, but I dont think so. The rule was that, in order for a person not to turn into a monster or be saved from the infection, he should be plunged into the water before the worms could reach the brain. Once the worms reach the brain, the person is already a monster and theres no way yet of reversing it. The queen was already a monster/zombie, thus, can't be saved.
I just finished the US version and I must say that I liked the Korean version more. The president's actions were more realistic for a first time politician. The secretaries had better dynamics and were given enough material to really shine on their own. Each of them grew on me. The remake was able to tackle different issues on a 16-episode format (vs 21 episodes in the US version) without the feeling of being too draggy nor too rushed.
I appreciated how the remake highlighted the purpose of Assemblyman Oh's character and how it fit in the big picture. In the US version, it fell flat for me to the point that it left me thinking, "wait, that's it?!"
Though it did not follow the route of the US version 100%, I'm glad that it made its own spin and I'm satisfied overall.
Enjoyed this! At first, I thought it would be boring, but somehow, I got hooked! :) I love the bond between the team, especially when they have their team meals.
Looking back at ep1 of season 1, Dan-i, the physician's assistant, was ordered to give something to the zombie king. If the physician was already aware of what the resurrection plant can do to a human 3 years ago, why did he not warn Dan-i to be at a safe distance? He just warned not to look into the bedchamber. Why are they giving something at night, not at the morning when the king is inactive? The physician was fully aware of a zombie's diet since three years ago, then what the heck were they giving at S01EP1? If the physician just protected or instructed the boy properly, then he wouldnt have died and the plague wouldnt have happened. I wouldnt be pointing this out if the physician was not aware of the king's disease, but he does. Did I miss something?
Not just me! Park Hae Soo acting seems...idk stale? I am not finished but only on episode 3 and thinking of dropping…
I agree with @biased. His character is supposed to be only good in baseball but dumb in everything else. For me, the story gets better when he was already transferred to the penitentiary.
I must have missed the explanation. I understand that the zombies in the palace were drowned in the lake, but…
I think, when winter has passed, the zombies might have been back to being corpse during the day and they have already the opportunity to burn the bodies. There was a time skip of 'after three months' showing that they were burning them.
It is still a mystery to me how Moo Young managed to send messages to Cho Hak Joo's people about the whereabouts or plans of the Crown Prince despite of the monsters everywhere. :/
pretty sure he knows that the baby is moo young's son. it was moo young's wife that clearly stated that her child…
He admitted he knew at ep6. He didnt even finish listening to Seo Bi's testimony and instructed her to watch over the baby. He just wanted others to believe that the baby was the late king's son as he felt he didnt deserve to be the next king since he beheaded his own father. Moo Young's wife was even at the palace as one of the court ladies (shown when the boy was 7 yrs old). Im assuming that was intended so that she could watch over her son growing up.
