I just realized, I think Lee Soo Hyuk would have been a better villain than Kang Ki Young. No offense to the latter, I love him in his other roles, especially comedy. But as a villain, I know he tried his best, but i just imagine that the main villain in a suit would be much more manly, handsome, and you'd really feel his presence in his every foot step in the hallway, like a fashion model in the runway. Haha.
So sad seeing negative comments. So far, I'm not bored. I still love their dynamics. Maybe I'm biased because I'm a fan of Yoo In Soo. Haha. Loved his performance in his every role (from AOUAD to AOS to this). He might be the weakling of the team, but he's a comic relief for me. :) the only thing that bothers me is the voice of the "muddy" evil spirit. π
This is still halfway through. For me, it's too early to judge. Some dramas are even slow burn on the first half to lay the groundwork for the 2nd half, then later I would understand why the story was unveiled that way.
I liked the 1st half especially the war between the two web portal companies. The women power is commendable. Though I understand the views of Tammy when it comes to romance and being comfortable living alone, the main couple's issue was really dragged that I got bored. I also got bored by the interactions of the 3rd couple, though they got better towards the end. I was also bothered sometimes with the cinematography. I dont like some of the close ups and excessive lights which made me dizzy.
I stayed until the end because of the cute romance of the 2nd leads (Scarlett and Ji Hwan) and the corporate war, including how the ideas of Team Barro come into fruition. If I could just delete the romance plot of the main couple and the third leads, I could have rated this better. I get that they want to portray different love problems of women with successful careers, but I think the execution was underwhelming.
Maserati proved here to be the standard getaway car.
Chairwoman Jang's appearance was too simple for a business tycoon and rich family matriarch. I cant differentiate her role here and Prison Playbook.
I finished this and I liked it. It's more of a crime solving type in Joseon era when theres no tech yet for determining…
You can have your opinion, I can have mine. You dont have to dismiss what I think is wonderful. We all have different lenses and learn to respect that. Telling me directly that it's just meh is like belittling my appreciation for things.
Now, how do i survive waiting for the last 3 episodes? :(
I really love the partnership of Juwon and Doo Shik in action and comedic scenes. π
Ryu Seung Ryong is such a good actor that he is able to let you feel all the emotions whether in comedy, romance or in grief.
Of course, Kim Doo Shik is still my crush and will say it for the nth time. Hahaha.
Really digging into the romance stories of the parents. Glad that they unfold it in such interesting storytelling.
Frank's backstory was kind of disheartening too.
Binged on 11 episodes. Loving this show!
