I was the same with F4 - I liked Dew the most there. Compared to Luke, their visuals are just different. Dew is more of boyish cute, gently handsome, while Luke can pull off more charismatic parts, from CEO to police officer to mafia. Either way, I am happy to see all the actors here and will enjoy the series! 😻

Yes, May only has her interest in mind. I agree - her family life isn’t good. She seems very lonely, more so than the other kids. What girl would be playing with a gun all by herself? 🤦‍♀️ She also doesn’t understand how to be a friend. She says “if you’re loyal to me I will repay you”. Repay how? With loyalty? With money or contacts? Friends don’t keep tabs and don’t “repay” each other.
I think her character might be very interesting and I hope she’ll get an interesting development arc, just like others.

You didn’t say it, I did, as I am not sure what reaction you were expecting out of Kong. I apologize if it came out a bit harsh. Honestly, I would also be weirded out if a guy I am not interested in, never gave him any encouragement and politely noted that I prefer totally different type, kept pushing himself onto me. Kong is not fretting because May hit on him. He’s puzzled because she KEEPS pushing no matter what. She’s a cute girl and shouldn’t have any issues finding someone who would like her. But she’s going for a toy she wants just because. I think that’s what Kong sees and doesn’t appreciate.
About May being nice or not. First, let’s define “nice”. For the culture of the series, May is not very nice as I believe their definition of a “nice girl” includes modesty and honoring elders. The way May behaved at Tam’s house in front of Kong, snickering at Tam’s grandmother was a failure. I admit, grandma is a drill sergeant in a dress, and I would be snickering as well, but I am from a different culture and I am not going for a “nice girl” prize 😉Moreover, May manipulated Pali and Tam (with help, but still), in her own interests. That’s not what “nice girl” does.
She is pushy, and Kong has had enough of that type at his own home - his mom. So no wonder he wants a calm, modest, easy-going girl like Tam (for now she comes off like that). Who knows how Tam’s character will develop. May and Tam might switch characters at the end 🤷‍♀️
So, basically, that’s why I think Kong was not too happy with May’s affections. Of course, now he’s hurt and might go for May’s suggestion to date.
I do like the series and can’t wait how the plot develops.

Why are you surprised that Kong is not in May’s panties right away? She’s clearly not his type. He said he’s attracted to kind (nice) girls, and she’s not it. She comes on strong, and not everyone likes that 🤷‍♀️If Tam was available, May wouldn’t stand a chance. I have nothing against May so far, just stating a fact that Kong is not into her, and he has every right to. Maybe as they learn more about each other, he’ll like her. But for now his immediate preference is Tam.

I agree, communication is a rare gem in BLs (and some hetero series as well). Here, they only went no contact for summer break, but obviously missed each other and it served the purpose as well, allowing Riyuji to figure out his feelings.
To me, plot is always number one priority. If the show is full of NC scenes but there’s no development leading towards those scenes, I see them as a good workout but nothing else 🤷‍♀️😉

I was talking about that first one that used camera angles. To clarify, I am not mad or anything, I liked the show. I am just stating the fact that they used camera angle, that’s why I think they didn’t kiss the first time. For me, kissing or not is not a deal breaker, I enjoy a good plot, and if the plot calls for intimate scenes - I will enjoy them, too. 😉

I can’t speak for everyone, of course. I think they didn’t kiss exactly because they used a camera angle. Camera trick is normally used when the actors avoid kissing. So my logical conclusion is that they didn’t kiss 🤷‍♀️

Thank you so much for telling about the novel! Now it makes more sense than the sudden change from bully to buddy. The title is definitely off, while the original novel title would fit nicely. I might find the novel if it’s translated into English to enjoy the plot.
And I agree about the importance of workshops. If an actor is supposed to do a fighting scene it’s a given he’d spend lots of time training with the professionals. What’s so different about intimate scenes? Not everyone knows what to do there so that it looks good on screen, even if they have life experience. Just like even if an actor can fight, he still needs a professional to choreograph the scene so that it’s shining for the audience.

I really like both Perth and Chimon, and I hope they get a good story and a good director soon!

I think Mew had every right to not want to be friends with Boston again. At the time of Top/Boston affair, Top hasn’t had sex with Mew yet. He was just chasing after him, but he was basically a stranger.
Boston was Mew’s close friend. So what Top did was a shitty potential boyfriend deed. What Boston did is a complete betrayal of a friend. In my book (and obviously in Mew’s as well) betrayal of a friend is way more serious and long-term trust is just shattered.
Also, I wouldn’t blame someone else for Boston’s crappy behavior. Mew is not his mommy, he’s not responsible for what Boston is doing. At this point, Boston looks like a sex addict. If he was just an “open relationship” guy, being open about it with Nick — ok, no problem. But he lies and cheats right there, with his boyfriend he wanted so much being in close proximity. I really can’t see how it’s not an addiction 🤷‍♀️
So before getting a chance with anyone Boston has to go on a long journey to himself.
And yes, I agree the series was great! I hope they have another season! 🎉
