i think the drama is really trying to highlight the transition from young to more mature for the later episodes. but yeah it’s a little much. there’s no need for her to act thaaaat young. another theory is that it’s Esther’s cute flare that she tends to sprinkle into her works.

I think I have to agree with this. Lin Yi’s roles are always more or less the same. and if not the same, he LOOKS the same in every role. same face same hair same expression, maybe sometimes with glasses sometimes without. that in itself makes me not as excited about the drama unfortch. watched LYX in JTY and LITC. she is becoming one of my faves so im def watching for her!

I think several of us on here mentioned they wish they talked about the dad a bit more. him being introduced as a roaring drunk felt like a story was going to come of it but SPOILER ….. literally no story. nothing came of it. also why did the step mom be okay with his alcoholism? i was waiting for some big reveal but literally nothing. it was odd

it’s not the actual scene. it was a still of him in the bathtub (similar to what was released), her wrapped in a robe from the front and held together in the back by an assistant but you can tell the bottom of her dress is drenched, followed by a screenshot of the script detailing the words that were exchanged and the actions. she fell in the tub after some horsing around with the foam and straddled him. he had his arms at her waist and gently told her I love you.

it’s hard bc if he continues to act in these roles with the same or similar hair then he’d be typecasted into these roles which I think might be bad for the actors. it’s probably more important to show range. but at the same time, he does it this raw dark and pine-y role so well
