maybe an undercover cop situation. he’s like super hot and smart and strategic. by day he’s some lame and slow and silly office worker that can barely get the printer to work and then by night he’s infiltrating corrupt systems. his next project has evidence that traces up to the ceo of the company he works for! but all this time, he was falling for his beautiful manager in the office who he thinks would never give him the time of day because SHE is the CEO’s DAUGHTER. I wouldn’t even say it’s toned. toned suggests she has a healthy amount of muscle. let’s just say it like it is, she’s just plain skinny in an unhealthy way! no need to tiptoe around the obvious. we see it, she likely knows it and PREFERS it. she be looking like the leads from wicked.
I’ve heard actresses like ZRN say they have to be light and skinny during filming since camera adds 10lbs and of course male leads have to be able to carry them.
looks great on camera underneath all the costumes and lighting and makeup. but in real life like endorsements and award shows, anyone can see. these actresses are stick figures but that’s the occupational hazard that comes with their profession 🤷🏻♀️ I too find it visually unappealing! these poor actresses likely struggle with metabolic issues.
no shame! in the states, healthcare workers including physicians and pharmacists are required to take continuing education credits to ensure and expand knowledge. doesn’t make them any less of a good healthcare worker. 🤷♀️in fact, if I found out Lin Yi does in fact go to to acting classes and I can SEE an improvement, I have even more respect for him. a man trying to perfect his craft? seated.
he needs acting classes. plain and simple. and there’s no shame in that. it’s his craft, it’s his profession and there’s always room to be better and that’s something he should strive for, not stay stagnant. my first drama of his was put your head on my shoulders and he did well bc the character was an inexperienced nerd. and thennn I started to see snippets of him, the SAME HIM in his other dramas. so stiff, so stoic. 😮💨
I do feel like as annoying as Esther can be sometimes, she also helped him grow his social media fan base. she’s so good at filming content, making videos on set while in costume, doing dances to popular songs, following viral trends, acting funny behind the scenes with him etc that this keeps HER fans and new fans well fed.
we can tell he follows her lead in those videos, kinda like she invites him to be silly and it’s okay! so honestly, despite all the STUFF she can improve on, I do feel like he Yu owes it to her for gaining traction on social media. he’s hot yes, he def can act yes. but she fanned the flames for him. I gotta give credit where credit is due.

I’m talking specifically about HER in this CHINESE DRAMA wearing BACKLESS TOPS, SHORT SKIRTS (tshirt with questionable bottoms?), HIGH SLITS, LOW CUT TOPS. that’s not the usual Chinese drama wardrobe, it just isn’t!!! I can’t be blamed for saying it’s literally distracting. were the fits cute?? oh absolutely, I googled some myself. but did it fit the drama, GURL NOOOO. ✋🏼

agree that WXY looks older than he is. I like that about him. and absolutely people have large age gaps in real life! but there’s a difference between…let’s say a 25yo and a 15yo than a 35yo and 25yo, both with 10 yr age gap 🥲

I don’t think anyone thinks it’s the best fit. I think most can agree on here that 17 yo’s shouldnt be casted as a romantic lead. my suggestion of casting a younger actor vs older was in regards to making the best out of a bad situation. 😕so it sounds like your take is she likely shouldn’t be in the industry at this point, which is also valid
