I haven’t watched one of his dramas in a long time but I’m currently LOVING LBTL. does anyone know why this guy isn’t that popular? I mean he IS, we know him but he just doesn’t seem mainstream popular like others such as ZLH. but this man is handsome, tall, can act, and judging from his build, he def has a body. his dramas also don’t seem heavily advertised. I also just looked through his filmography and most of his dramas are rated below 8. :( is there a story here? does he get bad scripts?
ML looked fine as heck in his fitted white dress shirt and black tie out in the balcony. I nearly collapsed at the sight of him. can someone tell me if we’ll be getting a shirtless scene perchance? 😶
So imo Pei Zhen for the first time shows actual interest in Hu Xiu in episode 16 in his car after she calls him…
great acting from both actors in that scene. I actually went back to watch it again and I usually don’t do that for side plots or non lead interactions. kudos to the actors
harsh. but I respect that 🫡SML doing a good job looking like a greaseball with a hidden agenda
heyyyy!!! I didn’t think of SML going for Zhao. I think I can wholeheartedly support that! but Gong seems to be a better fit for her, or at least that’s how the drama feels
i actually….agree! weird since SML isn’t exactly the most honest guy. but chemistry IS there.
I think SML is basically exhibiting a main lead trope now. the… only getting close to someone for a specific reason but of course falling for the someone accidentally after getting to know them. I mean if one watches dramas, they are familiar. that’s prob why my drama heart is confused like oop sir what’s happening!!!
also want to add there’s something to be said about a man who shows up and goes after what he wants. and right…
that actually makes me feel bad for SML more. he doesn’t seem to be in control of his own life. ML is certainly very attentive - letting her take his car to visit her parents, asking her about her fingers…. I mean, they’re still my mains 🥰
Okay hear me out. I also did not like Pei and I don’t LOVE HIM or anything now. Just seems like a real greasy…
also want to add there’s something to be said about a man who shows up and goes after what he wants. and right now, ML isn’t exhibiting this behavior but SML is. openly going for what you want is attractive. paying attention to little things is attractive. and doing this all in a Bentley, well…it’s a bonus. 😅
And I also get the vibe that Pei doesn’t even know the details of the incident. He probably is just competing…
it’s starting to feel like how Pei is, is a product of how his dad treats him. he seems quite capable on his own but the comparison and pressure his dad forces onto him has made him into this person he is today.
Okay hear me out. I also did not like Pei and I don’t LOVE HIM or anything now. Just seems like a real greasy character. But specifically in these two episodes, I’ve grown kind of fond of him.
I like how we can tell he might actually be developing feelings for the FL himself, something outside of what his motives were. And with that, he’s not afraid to pursue - ask her to dance, buy her coffee etc. and the convo in the car? I mean, I def felt some tension and that was enjoyable to watch for me. I also want to give him credit for lighting that fire under the male lead.
Yes, I know his moral compass likely isn’t pointing straight but…. Just specifically these two episodes, I didn’t hate watching him onscreen. 🙃
