I felt for her. but throughout the flashbacks of MLās childhood, the audience can see ML never got along with this new family. (did she ever try and ask him why is he so distant?) he always seemed singled out. and all we get are scenes of his adult life with a poor relationship with his mom. his mom has constantly been grasping at the straws trying to mend her and her sons relationship but it just wasnāt working.

hm this is my opinion. Iām def not pretending to know about marriages, not sure where that came from. I also think itās okay to hate a fictional character in a fictional drama. just means writing/acting was done well.
