Boy, I'll tell you what: it's 25 episodes, 15:00 each, but the episodes are rolled out so slowly, you've long ago forgotten the episodes you've already watched. When it's already a really short drama, the heck;s the point of dragging out the subs like this?
Wow….being in your 40s doesn’t mean your life is over…42 is not old.
It's not that people don't understand you. They understand you fine. They just think you're wrong. Which you are, in addition to being judgmental and nosy.
If they all smoke like that iRL, in a dozen or more years, they'll also look dead. Both of my parents smoked; both died from emphysema, a terminal disease that kills people by suffocating them to death. Of the virtually infinite ways there are to die, dying from a smoking related disease is one of the more unpleasant. And just think: you don't have to die that way. All you have to do to prevent it is not smoke, and stop if you already do.
You don't look "hot" when you smoke. You look like you're stupid.
The amount of woke people responding to my comment as if their woke views matters to me, is too damn high!
You're not much of an asset to this community, are you?
Also, it's "number of people", not "amount of people".
There a dozens and dozens of places that would welcome your ideological POV. and where you'd fit right in. This being a website that's populated by people who are fans of Asian dramas, this isn't one of them. Stop trolling.
Very under rated drama. Engaging story (but not ground breaking), never drags. The male characters are not the stars of this drama, and a few of them are villains; the ones who aren't, though, are completely charming. I liked everything about this show. [Bonus: if you like a cheating bastard of an ex-husband who is insanely jealous about his first wife, this is your show, by golly!]
Gosh. Between the corruption of the entertainment agencies and executives and the viciousness of the K-Nets, it's a wonder that anyone survives in the industry.
I'm liking this, and watching it every so slowly, waiting for available subs. (In a drama watching hobby, is there anything more aggravating than getting half way through a drama because those episodes are subbed, but the last half of the drama or last third or even last two episodes are never subbed?)
I know they get together (it's the basis for the entire show) but 20:00 into episode 5 and my stomach is in such a knot. So, so many selfish bastards in this drama already.
I'm at ep 5 but like im super bored , is it worth to fight through it or it will stay the same pace ?
I got half way and then I realized I didn't care about how it ended. I like him. I like her. I like them together, but the story is just so . . . blah? (It's pretty good, though, if you look at it as an extended commercial for a national paramilitary force.)
You know, the good thing about these pocket size dramas is that you can wait a bit, and then watch the whole thing again with hardly any time commitment, unlike re-watching a show with 24 regular length episodes.
Well, it wouldn't be a Kdrama weekender without an evil female character. And aren't we lucky? This drama has two--a grandmother so insufferably selfish and controlling, every time she clutches her chest, you hope it's because she's dying. And also, a lying, grasping 2FL, whom we're supposed to have sympathy for because she has a spendy mom. Unfortunately, we know she won't be exiting the show until the bitter end, when she'll get the typical character transplant and become a decent human being--but that's at least 40 episodes away.
Of course, not to be over looked is the FL's own family, consisting of a brother so hypocritical, you'd like to slap him a few times with a mackerel, an incompetent uncle who ran off with her father's insurance money, but returns to the family so the FL can support him, and a mother whose principal interest in her daughter is bragging rights. We're meant to understand her family as "flawed", and not "awful", but awful is winning.
So, naturally, the only thing to be done is to watch every episode that comes next.
Can anyone tell my if this drama is makjang? I can see that it's not a daily drama but 50 episode made me asking…
It's a Kdrama weekender, so yeah, there's going to be some drama, probably one or more birth secrets, a super annoying 2FL or 2ML or both, family dysfunction and two or three couples. That's what Kdrama weekenders are about, and why they draw huge ratings. Notable past weekend dramas are "Father is Strange" and "Once Again". These are great examples of weekend dramas that are done very well.
I think the trick to successfully watching and enjoying shows like this is not to binge watch them. This is the type of drama you enjoy more if you watch it as it airs.
How is this ours, or anyone else's business? Don't we understand that this kind of unnecessary dragging through people's lives hurts them?

9/10 Would re-watch.
Very sad loss.
