Title The Betrayal
It's got Ken. And Anne.
Together again.
If this remake has all of the tension and excitement of Kdrama original, it could be fantastic.
If it doesn't get subbed . . . . massive frustration.

Neither "Parallel Love" nor "Handsome Siblings" is available on Viki. "Handsome Siblings" is (still) available at Netflix, though.

It's a tragedy that I've watched every single one of these except the ones that haven't aired yet. (Not optimistic about seeing those. Finding places to watch Lakorns these days is pretty difficult.)

Thank you for the article. Enjoyed it so much!

Imma go back and read the rest of the article, which is just as excellent as the first part, but I had to drop down to the comments section immediately after reading the part about "Pin Anong". Oh, that was funny, So funny. I'm still laughing. Okay, I'll finish the article now.

The first four episodes are not . . . tight? The pace of the plot roll-out is too . . . .ZZZzzz. Excuse me, I nodded off for a sec.

After all the brutally cat-dog fightings in the company, it boils down to one and only one reason: build a low-income…
I don't know how you can watch "Ideal City", with its cut-throat politicking and rapacious profiteering and conclude "ugh. Socialism."

I'd much rather work in a company with employee stock ownership than one where every possible decision and consideration made by the company is about advancing share-holder value, and where CEO compensation is routinely many thousands of dollars more than line and staff workers. But that's just me.

when i saw that scene i personally like it that they made her like that. bc i have seen lots drama shows when…
No person of good character allows their friend to be beaten without doing something to help. (A trained person may assess the situation they're jumping into for risks--how many attackers? Are they armed? With what? What's the terrain? Is it raining? Broken pavement? Obstacles? Broken glass? In that regard, your point about untrained people being a liability and not a help is correct, but that is a completely different drama.) The scriptwriters make the FL not just a coward in that scene, but also a disloyal and unworthy friend. If you're the person who is taking the beating while your friend stands there and does nothing, you'll be unfriending them as soon as you get out of the hospital.

Honestly I feel like as she grows she get better at standing up for herself. Being timid is not a crime. She was…
I think you're very understanding and kind.

It's just that girls in Cdramas are always so badly represented. They may or may not get character growth in their drama, but almost all of them start out the same way. The timid, modest, clueless, witless, clumsy and weak FL in Cdramas is criminally over represented--rarely balanced by girls who are smart, fearless and aggressive. Those types of girls exist in real life, too.

When you watch drama after drama with these passive girl characters, it begins to look like a blueprint for how girls are SUPPOSED to be.

But thank you so much for your thoughtful reply.

Every girl will not be brave, but neither will every boy.

I don't have any friends who would do nothing to help me if I was being physically attacked, and I don't want any who would do nothing, either. At the very least, they'd run to get help and not stand there with their lower lip sticking out, looking down at their shoes.

It's a drama: except to highlight the current uselessness of the FL's character, there was no need to write a script that called for her to stand there, doing nothing.

Unpopular opinion, but I'm at episode 8, and the FL's character so far excels at weakness, timidity and pouting. This episode, while the ML has come to her aid and is facing 4 other boys who have every intention of beating the ML to death, the FL listens to the beating behind a closed gate, looking down at her feet, helpless.

If it's me, and my best friend is getting beat half to death, I'm not cowering behind a door while it's happening. I know that lots and lots of people--if not most--would be scared in a situation like that, but standing around doing nothing while your boyfriend is getting pulped is not it.

I really, really dislike FL characters who are drawn like this. What a terrible example for girls.

If only the last episodes had lived up to the edginess of the first few. It's as though the writers read how shocked and scandalized the audience was in the beginning, and said "oh, dear, we can't have that!" and turned this sloppy but original and fairly realistic portrait of messed up university relationships into a box of ordinary romance tropes. The first episodes, I could hardly wait for each week's episodes, and starting with episode 6, I struggled to stay awake. What a shame.

The show improves your Mandarin, because the available English subs for it are really a struggle. The show is so good, you're nearly desperate to understand what's happening, what people are saying, and what they mean by what they're saying.

Quite powerful slice of life drama that manages to be very up lifting, even though you need 10 hankies to get through it. That's a masterful accomplishment, considering the whole show is only 12 episodes (average episode length is 75 minutes, though.)

A rare Cdrama that's as good as it should be, where all the FL characters are realistic but admirable.

I liked the ending of Princess Agents. What I do not like is the fact that it's been over 2 years, and Princess…
There is about an 85% chance that there will never be a season 2 of Princess Agents. The cast for the original has long since gone on to other projects, and if there was anything in the works for a season 2, some details--cast, screenwriter, director, script, budget, set--anything about these at all--would have leaked or been disclosed. But there's absolutely nothing. (The only reason I'm not 100% sure is because the wiring in my crystal ball is busted.)

Princess Agents ended badly because, for whatever reason, the screenwriter gambled on there being a 2nd season, only there isn't.

Hi, what episode does she realize her feelings and what ep do they get together please?
I can't remember exactly, but it's nearer the middle of the show, say like episode 8 or 9? Or earlier? It's not a drama where they drag how long it takes for them to get together.

By the time all the sexy parts in the original Kdrama were zippered off to make this align more with Thai sensibilities, you're sort of left with a not very exciting noona romance that features some very attractive actors.

If you're going to do a re-make, either subtract the parts from the original that weren't very good, or add parts to the original that make it better, but what's the point of doing a copy, only duller?

A lovely, lovely drama from start to finish. Easily in my top 10. The performances are so heart felt and honest, without being overly dramatic. I loved everything about it. On days when I feel like the world is grinding me into paste, I'll take two aspirin and watch this drama again.

Difficult to like a ML who believes he is the one and only logical person there is. Hard to like a FL, who keeps…
It wouldn't be a Cdrama if the FL wasn't clumsy, though.
