The community can sometimes be a bit toxic, and when it gets too much, I turn to thai dramas 🤣

Every time I share an opinion that's different from the fans, I get hate. I’ve experienced so much trauma (people can be really mean!) from it that now I feel like I have to justify myself and give a lot of praise to the actors to minimize the hate haha

I love how people are debating the age gap in the comments while I’m just here wondering how the ML is supposed to be the head of strategic planning in a company and still looks like he’s 20. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a great actor and I’m actually a big fan! But he just looks way too young for the role, and I can’t take the plot seriously.
Please, no hate to me! I genuinely think he’s very talented and he's done so many great dramas in the last few years!

You just unlocked a memory! I watched that movie when I was younger it’s really good, I totally forgot about it haha. But you’re right about the savior sibling; I just thought the dad could help without her having to try to get pregnant. Maybe I just didn’t understand some parts 🤔

Omg so that’s what was happening? The story is so twisted I never would’ve guessed or understood that she planned to have another child with him to save the first one by using the new baby’s blood. She went through all that when she could have just told the ML the truth—that the child is his and needs help? lol

I'm not sure that I understand. In episode 13, when the doctor calls her and tells her she's pregnant. Who is she pregnant with?

Seriously, I forgot how good this drama is and how underrated it is. I can't wait to rewatch the entire series it’s so heartbreaking, yet so healing at the same time...

Maybe I’m wrong, but I noticed the series was produced by True CJ Creations, which is affiliated with CJ ENM from Korea. I’ve seen several other films produced by CJ—even some American ones—and they all have a similar vibe when it comes to colour grading and camera work. It really sets them apart from productions made by other major studios.
I’d even say it’s a hit or miss sometimes, depending on what you’re used to visually!

I really miss old k-dramas. Watching them again today, they might seem a bit cringe, but I think that's part of their charm. They're lighthearted, and the comedy is definitely there.

I came with no big expectations, and it's not that bad. Honestly, it's a good show to pass the time and enjoy without overthinking. I'm really looking forward to the next episodes!

I mean of course there have been some good dramas recently, but personally, I feel like the ones from back in the day resonated with me more. Maybe it’s also because I think the series from that time were better as they were part of my childhood, and my first introduction to k-dramas, so I naturally feel more attached to them 🤔

Either way, I’ve never rewatched any dramas from the last 2–3 years. But the older ones? Sometimes I’m on my 4th or even 5th rewatch! That’s why I think 2016 and earlier were the golden era haha

But I’m not denying that it’s possible to find a few good ones from the last few years, and there’s one that came out this summer that I really enjoyed :)

Edit : the thrillers from the past few years have been really good I can’t deny that!

I have high expectations for k-dramas in 2025, and I'm really looking forward to this series. I’ve been pretty disappointed by the past few years (seriously, nothing can beat the golden era of 2016 and before) 😭

I'm so excited about this mini-series! I’ve really missed Jun Ji Hyun, and I’ve been eagerly waiting to see her back on my screen 😭
On top of that, adding politics, thriller, and action (hopefully with a touch of romance, even if it's minimal) makes it even better; 2025 is offering so many great k-dramas, and I really hope I won’t be disappointed!

Kwan and Khet are so cute together, and their chemistry was honestly one of the best i’ve seen in any lakorn in 2024! Seriously, the casting was spot on, and it’s one of the reasons i kept watching despite the Black Panther King plot, which i personally found unnecessary...

I also hope we get some great lakorns in 2025 :)

that’s exactly it! it’s like they tried all the weird angles and techniques just to seem edgy... I really hope they fix it in the next episodes (especially with the filters) because the drama still seems pretty promising and i’d hate for all this to ruin my experience watching the show 😭

For a first episode, i think it's great! Although i found the last 30 minutes a bit slow (i skipped through some parts), i’m sure the upcoming episodes will be very promising.

Also, with the chosen actors, i really hope we’ll get to see a more mature romance, without misunderstandings and childish love dynamics.

I would like to add, though, that the use of filters in some scenes is a bit intense, and sometimes the filming style feels a bit odd. It gives me the impression that the camera is poorly positioned, or for instance, when someone is running and we see them from behind, it feels a little off. I'm not sure how to explain it exactly, but it stood out a little bit to me...
