Hey, I like the premise but the girlfriend being so evil she's actually pissed off at the dude for saving a bus load of people is off putting even to me and I hate people.
I have a feeling the show isn't going to treat her as the bad person she clearly is.
Do you know anything about that or there other reason to drop it too?
Edit: I'm allowed to not like a TV show so if you're gonna get offended and rude about it then spare me and learn…
@Vivaishere Um, no? I'm allowed to have a negative view of a TV show. That doesn't mean I'm easily offended or whatever else. It just means I didn't like the drama. I also didn't insult the whole show–I criticized part of the writing and even complimented the acting, so nice job purposefully misrepresenting what I said.
And on top of that, you people are the ones angrily replying like I personally insulted your mother and made her step on Legos. Over a TV show. Just let it go.
And lastly your comment about it leaving an impression on me makes no sense. My criticism is that the script failed to make that character's death mean something after building him up. Idk how I can make this basic concept clearer.
Although why I'm bothering with a bunch of offended people that get rude over tv shows idk...
Oh wow and you insulted MY taste when you don't even like The Untamed which is commonly seen as one of the best cdramas there are and that has amazing acting in it. Just because they're attractive doesn't make them bad actors. Holy hell, I didn't insult any of the actors in MLC because they did a good job but you have to attack innocents because I didn't like a tv show you did?
There are no words. Just laughter.
P.S. The Untamed was my first cdrama so maybe I'll lower the rating later idk but at least all the deaths in it were well done ahd earned so it beats MLC.
Thanks for the psychoanalysis but you don't know me. I just give back the same attitude i get at times. I was literally nothing short of polite, even thanking them, and at least one of then was rude.
And just because I don't like one single show you do doesn't mean you need to insult me. That goes to show your maturity and rudeness levels need improvement.
It was kind of implied when you replied trying to change my mind about it and then telling me it's not for me and to move on is generally seen as a dismissive comment which is why I thought you were being rude.
Anyway, I don't think there's much point in continuing this conversation so again I'm sorry for misunderstanding your tone. Have a good rest of your day though.
I don't mind getting replies but you can't expect someone to change their mind just because either. I'm allowed to comment too even if it's an opinion you disagree with.
Sorry if you didn't mean it rudely but after the other person it came across that way to me. My bad but I mean at the same time I already knew what you told me. That's why I stopped watching it and am gonna start a new drama. I hadn't even thought about this one for hours until both of you replied to me.
Whatever yourself, dude. You're the one who came at me bothering me over a TV show and despite me being polite, you're gonna be rude now because I dont wanna watch a show you like? Grow up and leave me alone.
Already slept plenty after ditching it and I feel the same. Sleep can't make the show have better writing and not disrespect me by lamely manipulating my emotions. For me, deaths have to be earned, not just done for lame shock value and whatnot. Thanks for trying to help though.
Yes but the written world isn't the same as the real world. You're supposed to handle character deaths with a certain level of decorum and a blatant manipulation attempt is not it.
To clarify if they hadn't given that storyline to him or they had handled his death with more skill than I wouldn't have dropped it.
Well, it was stupid and cheap. If they hadn't gave Happy a sympathetic storyline beforehand than it would be one thing but they did, fooling me into caring about a character they killed off the very next episode is not good writing. I feel disrespected by the show so meh. They should have killed off the servant girl who didn't have a backstory and I wouldn't have cared.
The main character's servant boy. The fact people forget him despite being a prominent character for the first three episodes tells me I did the right thing by dropping this.
Edit: I'm allowed to not like a TV show so if you're gonna get offended and rude about it then spare me and learn to treat real people better than fictional crap. Oh and definitely be more mature than to insult the actors of a whole different show just because I'm not simping for something you like. That's just pathetic.
Anyway, I've moved on and am now watching Word of Honour so can I please just be left to chill?
Also, I blocked the four people who responded so far anyway so I can't see replies to that chain anyway so please just leave me alone. I genuinely have no interest in this show after what it pulled, after seeing how the fans conduct themselves, and also because those rude people kept bothering me I saw that spoiler for the ending in the forum anyway so there's no point in watching it even if I wanted to which I don't. ------
Genuinely hate this show after trying it. Killing off Happy after giving him that storyline the previous episode was downright cheap and manipulative. That death was lamely done and the character deserved so much better–it wasn't earned for crap. I wish I had never tried watching this stupid show. I hate shows that pull cheap stuff like this. Next time kill the spare or don't cheaply make me care only to give the character a 0.2 second death scene jfc.
Edit: my issue isn't just that he died, guys. It's how giving him that storyline beforehand was clearly a cheap manipulation to tug at your heart right before killing him and that's bad writing that disrespects the audience imo. Either give characters deaths they deserve or don't give them that much depth if you're just gonna use them as a tool. In my eyes, the fact they did that doesn't bode well for the quality of the writing or storyline for me. This stuff needs to be earned and it just wasn't imo.
